The foot is the first thing to hit the ground — if it’s locked, the rest of the body has no choice but to adapt. Restricted foot and ankle motion can create tightness all the way up the chain: Foot → Ankle → Knee → Hip → Low Back When the foot can’t absorb and transfer force properly, compensations show up everywhere else. Sometimes the tight hips, cranky knees, or stubborn low back aren’t the root problem… the foot is. Restore the foundation. Free the chain. #MovementMatters #FootHealth #KineticChain #MobilityTraining #InjuryPrevention MoveBetter PerformanceTraining

Building a resilient body doesn't start with strength. It starts with foundation. Before speed. Before power. Before the weight room. The body needs time to learn how to absorb, organize, and return force—like a spring, not a machine. Your legs are multidirectional shock absorbers. When ankles, knees, and hips learn to work together, they store kinetic energy and release it without breaking down. This sequence explores: → Grounding and sensing through the feet → Coordinated articulation of the leg chain → Weight shifting, rotation, and elastic recoil No reps. No grinding. Just movement done slowly enough for your nervous system to learn the pattern. This is Part 1 of a layered system. Coordination before elasticity. Elasticity before power. Each sequence builds the capacity for the next. Follow along. Stay curious. Let your body remember how to move. Toe dissociation shows us what’s overactive and what’s underactive in the foot. If the outside toes dominate and the big toe can’t lift or press independently, pressure shifts to the lateral foot. That often translates up the chain as: • outside-biased loading • knee drift • reduced big toe push-off Here Connor is helping the foot feel: • big toe activation • lesser toe control • balanced pressure Sometimes the body isn’t weak — it’s just biased. Restore the big toe → restore the chain. #FootMechanics #BigToeActivation #MovementQuality #StrengthEdge #FootControl

Foot Training: Why it Matters 1/5, Our feet have 26 bones each, nearly 25% of the total amount in our body. This creates a lot of dexterity to our foot that most people over look, especially how much it carries over to lower body function up the chain and other exercises. A lack of foot dexterity can largely be attributed to the shoes we wear, although in general we don’t move our feet enough (the shoes definitely matter but there’s usually more to it). The decline in foot function can be easily seen with old people who feel off balance and are fall hazards. If your foot has no dexterity, why would there be any proprioception associated with it? Look at the domino effect caused by the right ankle in this video. When the ankle joint hits a mobility ceiling, the brain doesn't just stop the movement—it finds a "cheat code" to reach the floor. The Mechanical Breakdown: ✅ Limited Dorsiflexion: The right shin stays vertical too long. ✅ Compensatory Valgus: The right knee caves in to "unlock" a path for the hips to drop lower. ✅ Weight Shift: The pelvis shifts left because the right ankle is acting as a physical barrier to depth. Identifying these "Tiny Shifts" in ankle mechanics is how we change the way you move. We don't just watch you squat; we analyze the joint-by-joint requirements of the movement. 🦾✨ 📍 The Injury Preventer | East Rutherford, NJ 🏢 186 Paterson Ave, Suite 303 📞 201-208-2727 #TheInjuryPreventer #AnkleDorsiflexion #MovementScience #SquatForm #KineticChain PrecisionCare

TODAY!! Live Zoom Workshop On “My Training Moves” Your connection to your muscle is the currency for the exchange, experience, cost and benefits of life. It is not the size or the amount of muscle. No matter how strong you are there are elements of your life that effect muscle greater than training. It all has to be considered. You decide when to change. Doesn’t matter when you decide to start, it’s always ready for different. Why I start all cases with muscle. Myself included. It’s the first dose of new medicine. This class isn’t to get good at movement choices. It’s to get a taste of options you would use to understand you, your body and your life more deeply. Options I personally have used for over 25 years of professional/clinical and personal exploration. And still crafting. See anyone there who is ready to take a step from a certainty starting point. Your body only heals. No exceptions. “My Training…The Movements, Part 2: Calf Jumps, Spinal Hygiene & ALL Lower Body & Carry/Lift Patterns, Variations, Execution & Details” Part 1: Calf Jumps, All Spinal Hygiene, Crawl/Press/Plank/Bridge & Hang/Climb variations and patterns. Aggressive to gentle. 70+ moves total. *****PART 2:  Calf Jumps, Spinal Hygiene, Single Leg Balance, Lunge/Stride, Lift/Carry & Glute Ham variations and patterns. Aggressive to gentle. 80+ moves total. Part 3:  Calf Jumps, All Spinal Hygiene, Accessory & Recovery variations and patterns. Aggressive to gentle. 80+ moves total. When: Friday 1/30 at 2:30 pm pacific. Replay available to those who register even if you can’t make the live. Training Definition: Nourishing, connecting and preparing your body to manage the forces and energy of your life through deliberate focused movements done at varying degrees of intensity, duration and volume involving all muscles from hands to feet. This workshop addresses the “deliberate focused movements” of the definition. All other workshops went into the “why’s and how’s.” This is the “what’s.” The colors of paint used to create with you still being the artist…..

Wow! I love our WeckMethod Coaches. All-Ways putting principles into practice to expand the repertoire while retaining the root. @builtbydrew_ss taught me what he discovered in his relentless pursuit of better today. This sequence felt incredible. It begins with creating the “skeletal circuit” using the CoreFist to transform maximum tension thru the hand to enhance the tensional balance of your body’s core. That’s right, the more tension you put into your hand this way, the more proximal fluidity and systemic integration you get. It’s a whole different story when the bones in your hands and fingers are “triangulated” into a CoreFist. A regular fist squeezed hard restricts your entire body. It’s the opposite with the CoreFist. Wrapping the elastic around the body increases the systemic resistance along the Coiling Core. I was sweating in a short amount of time as the intensity is intense. I felt so integrated and more powerful after completing this sequence. It’s a hybrid blend of both Fight & Flight. Two sides of the same coin. The foundation of sincere movement training. My CoreFist Hands Course is in my bio. This one is a keeper. And guys much bigger and stronger than me like @jujimufu & @nsimainyang know the “weird” systemic strength you get with the CoreFist. It’s real. And very specific. Every Step Stronger

The kinetic chain starts at the foot. If the foot can’t feel, absorb, and adapt to the ground, force has a hard time traveling up the chain the way it’s supposed to. Now we understand training barefoot every day is complicated given the circumstances But if years go by with zero barefoot exposure that slowly removes a layer of awareness the body was designed to have. Even just a few minutes of barefoot work in the warmup goes a long way. Stay Locked🔒
