It develops due to repeated compression over time. WHAT HAPPENS DURING PROLONGED SITTING - Slouched sitting reduces lumbar lordosis • Disc pressure increases significantly in flexion • Prolonged static posture limits disc nutrition • Repeated load pushes the nucleus posteriorly Over time, the annulus weakens and a disc bulge or herniation can occur.
