Throwing it back to the day I met @thorbjornsson in 2016. We were hosting a strength seminar, and we asked him what his best bench press was. He said 230kg / 507lbs. I told him that was also my best bench press. He looked at me and told me to load the bar to 235kg, and he preceded to perform it for 2 reps! Competitive much!!!??? 🤪🤪🤪 In all fairness, Thor didn’t train much bench press for his strongman training, and it’s one of the main focuses of my training, so I had a small advantage, but either way, he wasn’t going to be beaten by me! 😂😂😂 This was the day he asked me if I could be his coach. And since then he won every major international title that exists in strongman. He has now set out the goal to take on the ATWR powerlifting total. Do you think he has what it takes? I know he does. The heaviest squats in history 👇 Squats have always been one of the ultimate tests of raw lower-body strength. In powerlifting and strongman training, athletes push the limits of what the human body can handle, often lifting weights that seem almost impossible. Over the years, some lifters have turned the squat into one of the most impressive displays of strength in sports. Legends like Ronnie Coleman became famous for incredibly heavy training squats, while powerlifters such as Ray Williams and Dan Bell have set records with squats exceeding 1,000 pounds in competition. These lifts require not only massive strength but also technique, stability, and years of training. The evolution of strength sports continues to push those numbers higher. With better training methods, supportive equipment, and stronger athletes entering the sport every year, the squat remains one of the most respected lifts in strength culture, representing the raw power of the human body. #gymbro #bodybuilder #weightlifting #viral #fyp

3 things YOU should be doing as a strongman to improve your work capacity❗ Save and share for later ✅ If you hit a wall in a 60s+ event where your muscles just halt and die on you you need to improve your conditioning You need to train the second energy system (glycolytic) hard which means you need to be working hard for 10-120s+ and with shorter rest periods 1️⃣ Adding in light carrys in training protocols where your pushing 100M+ with low rest or bursts of 20-40M with very low rest! 2️⃣ High rep protocols with lower weight I am talking up to 50 reps here! 3️⃣ Emom or rep every 30s work on compound lifts and events this is also going to teach you to execute well while extremely fatigued If you want to improve your conditioning comment or DM "ENERGY" for a run though of some more protocols you can use! DM "COACH" for details on the limitless strength coaching team now for strongman training!

It felt I could go on forever 👀 there’s really something to be said about work capacity blowing through the roof through intense Jiu Jitsu training 💪- Something I learned from my visits to the Basque Country (best stone lifters in the world), is the importance of being grounded when lifting stones. Every stumble must be eliminated and your reps need to be practiced to a point where every single one is smooth, controlled, with feet in place. Unfortunately I had a bit of a stumble on my very first rep, but then locked in nicely 👌 Getting an itch to go for a stone world record. Who thinks I can do it? I certainly do. Huge thank you to @thiagorljj and Collin for joining me in my strongman training, and merging the worlds of my two favorite sports. @sbdapparel @sbd.usa

Loaded Carry. So many benefits, so many different ways to incorporate them into a program for a multitude of goals.⁣ ⁣ One of the many reasons I love strongman training is how well rounded and versatile it is. It challenges every component of strength ability. Top end static strength, strength endurance, ability to move under load, work capacity, all through a myriad of different angles with different implements. ⁣ ⁣ Loaded carries embody this versatility. Program them heavy for short distance (strength). Program them for light weight and long distance (endurance). Program them on short rest intervals for GPP. Plug them into multi implement medleys. Program them for speed. The list goes on⁣ ⁣ What are your guys favorite ways to utilize loaded carrying?⁣ ⁣ Shoot me a DM for 1:1 training programming and diet coaching ⁣ ⁣ #strongman #strongmantraining #farmercarry #trainingideas #workoutmotivation #gpp #strengthandconditioning
