Something I see so often in therapy is one partner expressing their needs time and time again, and another partner agreeing to change, but not actually putting in the effort to follow through. Unfortunately, it often gets to the point where one person will try everything they can, but eventually come to the realization that they are no longer happy as their needs aren’t being met. Communication is important, but it’s nothing without comprehension. We can talk and talk but if our partner isn’t understanding what we are saying, nothing is truly going to change. When your partner is vulnerable enough to ask for what they need, take it seriously. Try to put in that effort, regardless of how small because it means something to them. Also, it doesn’t have to be one sided. Communication can go both ways and if there is something you want to it partner to work on as well, use these conversations as an opportunity to tell them and work through your struggles together. As you are having these conversations it may be helpful to create an actionable plan that you can both follow through on. Sit together and figure out what it looks like. Does it look like each of you planning 1 date a month? Each of you spending 1 hour a day cleaning up? Having a plan makes following through so much easier ❤️ . . . . . #mentalhealth #anxiety #trauma #unhealedtrauma #depression #stress #ptsd #complextrauma #cptsd #motivation #procrastination #wellness #therapy #therapist #mentalhealthmatters #socialanxiety #bpd #bipolar #dsm

For seven years, they were together. Trips. Photos. Inside jokes. The kind of couple everyone looks at and thinks: they’re basically married. But they weren’t. No dates. No plans. No “when.” Just “someday.” When they broke up, people blamed him. Commitment issues. Fear. Wasting her time. Then — three months later — he married someone else. I finally asked him why. He didn’t pause. “With her, I never had to convince myself.” He explained. With the first woman, the love was real. But the clarity wasn’t. Every step forward felt heavy. Every future conversation felt like pressure. He stayed because it was familiar. Because leaving felt cruel. Because seven years felt like an obligation you don’t walk away from. But with the second woman? There was no inner debate. No resistance. No overthinking. He didn’t feel pushed. He felt calm. And then he said something that stuck with me: “Time doesn’t create commitment. Clarity does.” Seven years didn’t fail because love was missing. They failed because certainty never arrived. And three months worked because the answer was immediate. Here’s the uncomfortable truth: When someone truly wants to build a life with you, time won’t be the obstacle. Hesitation will. People don’t marry faster because they suddenly healed or matured overnight. They marry faster when their heart finally stops arguing with itself. 📩 Drop “RESPECT” in the comments and I’ll send you my guide that helps you understand how to build relationships based on clarity, not hope Follow now — you might be closer to the truth than you think, and we might not meet here again.

Do you feel breadcrumbed in a relationship?😬🤷🏻‍♀️🫤🫥😦🙃🤨 Is it just for seeking attention or actually wanting to be with the person. SIGNs of BREADCRUMBING🚨‼️ 📍Poor & Inconsistent Communication- Individuals lack the emotional maturity and skills to communicate honestly. They can go silent for weeks before reappearing with a casual text or a social media interaction. 📍Incongruent Actions:: Their words often sound meaningful but will never match with their actions. Might express interest but will never make genuine efforts to make it happen. 📍Emotional Rollercoaster: Often fluctuating behaviour between peaks of excitement by creating hopes when they reach out, followed by crashes of disappointment, hopelessness and loneliness. 📍Keeps you in Gray Zone: Ghosts you, then returns with casual messages or social media memes. You feel unsure where you stand because relationship lacks clarity, direction or growth. 📍Lack of Commitment: Avoids making future commitments and keeps you in a persistent state of confusion and uncertainty. #signsofbreadcrumbing#ᴍᴇɴᴛᴀʟʜᴇᴀʟᴛʜsᴜᴘᴘᴏʀᴛ#psychologicalwellbeing#personalitydisorder#relationshiptherapy

💔 Our patterns in relationships tell us a lot about what's underlying; commitment issues, overattachment, avoidance, and so much more. If you find yourself stuck in an unhealthy pattern when it comes to relationships, it's worth checking for potential cycles that play a role in partner choice, behaviors in relationships, or avoidance in general. #relationships #cbt #psychotherapy #therapy #love #attachment #attachmentissuses #thoughts #patterns

The roommate stage is where most marriages silently die: You think you're just going through a rough patch, but here's what's really happening: 👉 You've stopped being lovers and started being business partners. 👉 You coordinate schedules but don't share dreams. 👉 You discuss logistics but avoid feelings. 👉 You sleep in the same bed but live in separate worlds. Most people assume this is normal - that passion naturally fades and this is just "mature love." But I need you to understand something crucial: The roommate stage isn't a destination. It's a detour that leads to divorce if you don't course-correct. When couples tell me "we're just roommates now," they think it's a temporary phase. What they don't realize is they're describing the early stages of emotional divorce. Yes, passion ebbs and flows. Yes, life gets busy. But when you stop being curious about each other, stop reaching for connection, stop prioritizing intimacy... you're not building a lasting marriage. You're managing a household with someone you used to love. The good news? This stage is completely reversible - but only if you recognize it and take action. Ready to transform your relationship from roommates back to soulmates? Message me - I help couples rebuild the intimacy and connection they thought was lost forever. They were together for 6 years. People called them the ideal couple. Everyone was sure they would get married. People swore by their love. But they didn’t. There were no plans. No timelines. Just “someday.” When they broke up, everyone blamed him. Commitment issues. Fear. Wasted her time. Then—three months later—he married someone else. A friend finally asked him why. He said: “We truly loved each other. But we could never reach clarity around commitment.” The girl was waiting for a proposal. The man felt pressured by the idea of a lifetime commitment. He kept waiting for the right time— for confidence, certainty, readiness. She kept waiting for him. The clarity never came. She lost years waiting for a promise. He lost years avoiding a decision. And both suffered in the process. After the breakup, he met someone new— and commitment felt natural. No pressure. No hesitation. No inner conflict. It felt unfair to the woman who waited. But it revealed an important truth: When hesitation is present, love alone is not enough. This became her lesson: Don’t wait forever hoping someone will choose you. Step up. Ask for clarity. Because time and emotions once wasted never return. When someone truly wants a future with you, time isn’t the problem. Hesitation is. Dear Men, please address the commitment phobia and heal 💬 Comment “LOVE” and Follow me to avail relationship reading Follow for more relationship clarity and emotional empowerment.

Truly one of the MOST common issues I see in high conflict relationships is the *faulty* belief that hurt feelings are evidence of wrongdoing. If this is your belief, you’re essentially saying that YOU always have the correct read on a situation, and your partner must bend to that belief. Then, when they don’t, you try to “make” them by repeatedly making the case and accusing them of being bad things when they don’t acquiesce. This behavior is really sucky to be at the receiving end of, and it absolutely does not generate empathy. What does generate empathy? Vulnerable emotional disclosure. If you want care and connection, you must approach your partner with care and connection. Full stop. 🫶For SAFE and desired relationships. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Looking for nuanced takes on relationship topics?
