ADWe were on vacation when he had an allergic reaction and had to be taken to the hospital. He had been suffering strange symptoms before but this probably pushed him over the edge.
To go from being at the top of his physical form to always in pain, dizziness, nerve twitching & so many other symptoms had to have been very hard on him. But to see him mentally drained over no one believing him was even more heartbreaking for me.
Everyone says they don’t know what they would do if they couldn’t eat red meat or any other mammal but it’s kind of funny to me because once we found out what he had to do to feel better, not eating mammal was easy.
He enjoys all the feather and fin friends and has been doing amazing once he removed all things mammal.

REPSA: Let’s talk about protective clothing for gardening, hiking, camping, etc.
Oklahoma is overrun with Lone star ticks, Amblyomma americanum, east of I-35 where I live. They are moving north at a rapid rate so this also applies to northerners.
I’m making it my mission to share about Alpha-Gal Syndrome and other tick-borne diseases. I’m not preachy. I’m passionate.
This is my clothing for working in the garden. I wear permethrin-treated socks, pants that I tuck into my socks, boots, and a shirt that I tuck into my pants. I also use double-sided tape and a lint roller to catch the little beasties.
This permethrin is bonded to the material and lasts for the life of the garment. I wear this every time I go into the garden to work, especially in the shady areas. Ticks love the shade because it’s cooler although they also love tall grassy areas too. Again, it’s cooler.
Why do I go to so much trouble?
Because, I have #alphagalsyndrome, and if I can keep from being bitten again by the Lone star tick or any other tick for that matter, I am on my way to getting less reactive over time. At least we hope so.
Why am I sharing this with you?
Because I don’t want any of you to get this #tickbornedisease or any other one.
Ironically, I don’t look sick, but looks can be deceiving. Right before my last videos, I had a really bad airborne reaction that landed me in the ER twice, and I had to use my EpiPen three times over two days. It wasn’t pretty.

Oh, and one more thing, the Lone star tick laughs at DEET. They also hunt their prey. I consider them zombies.

MYJust wanted to share the ticks I found on us after a walk today. See how small they are? This is what they look like BEFORE they find a spot on you or your dog to dig in feed. They’re nasty little devils and this is why I check me and the dogs immediately after a walk. These are the first ticks I found this year but I’m sure they won’t be the last. I’m not sure if they came from my shoe or Lou’s paw because I did both and then looked at the lint roller. After this, I also used my Tick Mitt, a comb and blasted them with the dog dryer. No more ticks were found!

METicks are no match for our trusty Tickspoon! 😎🕵️🕵️This nifty tool has made tick removal a breeze, and it's so easy to use that my kids even find it fun.
