Sitting around a table full of little plates… olives, cheeses, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, warm bread, honey with Kaymak… and of course, endless çay 😄 It’s slow, it’s social and it just feels like the perfect way to start the day 💛 Every time I have one, I feel like time slows down a bit. It’s not about rushing, it’s about sharing, talking, and enjoying. Honestly, I think it’s one of my favorite things about being here. The foods on our breakfast table are: • Homemade bazlama, Turkish flatbread (we made the dough the night before) • Egg salad with herbs and spices • A fresh salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers • Pomegranate — sometimes we swap it with oranges • Two types of cheese (Turkish white cheese like feta + British cheddar) • Mixed nuts • Fried potatoes • Our must-have green and black olives • Sour cherry jam (store-bought) • Lemon jam (homemade!) • Tahin & pekmez (tahini & grape molasses) • Kaymak with honey • Sucuk • And of course… unlimited Turkish tea (çay) Would you prefer a long breakfast like this, or something quick? 👋Hi!
