🔊 Did you know that the RB in Puma Fast-RB stands for rule breaker…? Because of the insane stack height on these shoes, they are not a ‘legal’ shoe for professional runners to race in. The good thing is, I’m not a professional runner, as they’re damn good fun… 😝. The only downside is the lack of laces, as it’s not possible to get a real secure lockdown. I also used to call them the Troll Catchers, because every time I posted about them there’s an influx of comments about how ridiculous they are, how they sound like a horse, or how much people hate them. It always makes for an entertaining read 🎣🧌

I never did it before, It’s embarrassing showing that, but it was necessary. After receiving so many comments after having shown what happens to my feet 🦶 after a marathon, I decided to share on my Instagram. Fortunately it doesn’t hurt at all, I just realised when I had shower . Unfortunately, 2 years ago, I choose the wrong socks to run the London Marathon, since then, my nails were never the same. After running Amsterdam marathon I had blood blisters, that is caused due to the bony parts of my feet constantly rubbing against the inside of my shoe, and I also had Subungual Hematoma (bleeding under a fingernail or toenail). The blood blister healed on it’s own within a week, and Subungual Hematoma takes up to 9 months to heal, that’s the reason that every time that I run a marathon it happens. My advice for you is “never wear anything that you haven’t worn before in a marathon. Everything that you will wear, must be worn before your race.” Share and like f you liked this content. How do we start running and fall in love with running? Here’s my top tips: 1️⃣ Walk / Run Programme This should be your start point as you build fitness and confidence. Gradually increase the amount of time you run AND reduce the time you walk 2️⃣ Distance and Speed Your goal should always be to run injury free, and the biggest cause of injury is over use. Don’t try and run as far as you can, or as fast as you can in your first run. Build mileage slowly. 2️⃣ Strength Exercises Running is all about our bodies ability to cope with force. Try to incorporate some exercises such calf raises, wall sits, glute bridges, and planks into your week. Strength training improves our running economy - it makes us a better runner! 4️⃣ Don’t Compare Focus on your own progress. Whilst it can be inspiring to see people running marathons before breakfast, it’s so important you build from your start level, not someone else’s Shoutout to all my 1-1 run clients! I’ve got runners racing in Berlin, Richmond, across the US, and Copenhagen over the next 2 weeks. If you’ve never tried the runner’s knot, then your life will never be the same… I’ve used this for as long as I can remember to get a secure locked-down feel without the pain across the top of the foot that comes from over-tightening laces. Suitable for shoes with a double eyelet at the top, it’s super simple to do - just follow along and prepare to have your mind blown.
