While visiting Marines training in Norway, Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps Carlos Ruiz noticed a Marine standing in several feet of snow wearing jungle boots instead of cold weather gear.
That moment led to a deeper look at how equipment is issued and used across the force, a journey that eventually brought him to DLA Headquarters.
During a recent #WarfighterTalk, Ruiz challenged the audience to think differently about readiness and the importance of getting equipment into the hands of warfighters when and where they need it.
