When you invest for your children, make sure to diversify the portfolio with some investments into international markets like the US. You can do it through mutual funds like international funds or feeder funds that invest in the US markets . you want to own global assets for two reasons 1) hedge against rupee depreciation 2) having exposure to the top 100 companies in the world for eg google parent alphabet hit 3 trillion$ in market cap for the first time ever , you would want to own stake there one easy way to do this is to invest in International funds basically equity mutual funds that invest in stocks of companies listed outside of India. here are 3 examples One feeder fund is the edelweiss US technology fund of fund which invests into the JPM us technology fund that invests into companies like apple , Microsoft, amazon, nvidia another fund to look at is DSP value fund which invests in companies like Berkshire hatchway, amazon, Alibaba, nike, tencent , Brookfield if you want exposure to the growing global healthcare industry , funds like DSP healthcare fund, Edelweiss msci india domestic and world healthcare index fund . this fund invests in companies like Eli Lily , Jonhson and Johnson , Novartis, abbott, amgen , illumina Data source : @thefynprint

Why is suddenly every country of the world in debt?... US, China, UK, countries from Europe, India... and who is lending to them all? America is USD 36 Tn in debt... and China holds USD 750 Bn worth of this debt But China is also under USD 18 Tn in debt... Practically every major country of the world is indebted to every other, currently, and we would think that the debts should square off... but collectively, the world is currently under USD 300 Tn of debt. So how is the debt almost 3X the size of our global economy... and what even is going on? Because countries need money for growth... they choose to borrow from people by issuing bonds... and everyone who starts buying a country’s bond becomes a lender... Till the early 1970s, most currencies of the world were tied to Gold... and because countries needed more money, the US delinked its money supply from Gold and just started printing more money at will. Which means just print more money to pay to people... And 70% of the US debt is to American citizens itself... How? Because when people put their savings in Banks, banks use that money to buy Govt Bonds, or essentially lend to the Govt... making it your money being lent to the govt... So as more money gets printed, more goes into bank accounts, more bonds get bought, and the debt keeps rising. Now, all major countries like China, US, European countries are funding ~20% of their annual spends by borrowing... Till when can this keep going on? As more and more money keeps getting cycled like this, inflation begins to rise... and general public becomes unhappy... The rich keep investing in stocks and getting richer... the wealth disparity rises the world over... Now that the US markets are giving crazy returns, the US is unable to raise more money and will have to increase the rates on their bonds to attract investors... And which is why the US President may rightfully want the share markets to crash. #casarthakahuja

“Common misconception when it comes to ankara fabrics: #1 Ankara fabrics were originally created by Africans, #2 Ankara fabrics are only made in Africa, #3 Only Africans or Black people can wear ankara print clothing. The truth: #1 Ankara fabrics were originally created by the founders of @vlisco who are Dutch (European), #2 Majority of the ankara fabrics people wear and use are made in China (Asia), and #3 Everyone can wear ankara print clothing (Black, White, Asian, etc.). Ankara fabrics are more universal than people think. They were created by Europeans (whom were inspired by Indonesians), popularized by Africans and mainly made by Asians. Not all ankara fabrics come from Asia, but majority of them are made in Asia. There are ankara fabric manufacturers in Europe and Africa but the majority of ankara fabrics come from Asia. Most of the ankara fabrics found in African markets, US Markets, European markets and other markets worldwide are imported from China.”- @nikkithejeanius • Video by (Source Unknown) 🎥 • Blogged by @nikkithejeanius ✨ • For more go to allthingsankara.com 🔗 • #allthingsankara #ankarafabrics #ankaraprintfabrics #africanfabrics #africanprintfabrics

↓ Read this & Save… The forex market is open 24 hours a day during the weekdays, but not every hour is ideal for trading. It took me 3 years to figure out the best times to trade—but if you’ve got 30 seconds, I’ll teach you what I’ve learned. ( If not save this post for later ) The best trades happen when the market is active, with high liquidity and volatility. Here’s a simple breakdown of the key times (EST) to look out for: 2:50 to 3:10 AM - European Market Open: • The London Stock Exchange opens at 3:00 AM, sparking increased activity. • European traders drive high volatility, especially in currency pairs like EUR, GBP, and CHF. 9:50 to 10:10 AM - European and US Market Overlap: • This period overlaps with the first hour of the NYSE, which opens at 9:30 AM. • The dual-session overlap creates strong trading opportunities in forex pairs like EUR/USD and major indices like the S&P 500. 2:50 to 3:10 PM - US Market Close Preparation: • As the US market approaches its 4:00 PM close, activity picks up. • Traders adjust their positions, making this a key time for moves in US stocks, futures, and options. Summary: • 2:50 to 3:10 AM: European market open drives early volatility. • 9:50 to 10:10 AM: Overlap of European and US markets boosts trading opportunities. • 2:50 to 3:10 PM: Late-day activity in the US market can influence trends. It took me years to uncover this, but now you’ve got it in under a minute. 👋 Make sure you follow @samsidney_ for more. What do you think of these trading windows?

As a non US citizen if you invest in US stocks or ETFs directly, you are liable to upto 40% estate tax. 3 reasons why I think it’s better to invest in US markets using India Mutual Funds (1) When you buy directly there are multiple charges - Transaction Fee, Withdrawal Fee, Subscription Fee, Remittance Fee, Platform Fee, Currency Conversion charges etc. this is upwards of 3% as fees (2) 20% tax collected at source for investments above 10L in a financial year which can be set off while filing returns (3) Upto 40% tax on estate above $60,000 None of the above applies if you invest in the US markets using India mutual funds #mutualfund #tax #usinvesting #estatetax #usequities #usstocks #usstockmarket

Trump’s MAGA mission—is it about to reshape the markets? And your portfolio? Presenting the trailer for the debut episode of Marcellus Musings, where we tackle big questions about global markets and their future. Hosted by Pramod Gubbi, CFA, Founder of Marcellus, with guest Arindam Mandal, Head of Global Equities, this episode speculates on: 🔹 Trump's Presidency and the US Markets: As Trump takes office, how might his policies impact the markets? Will his promises of economic growth and deregulation translate into real gains? 🔹 The DOGE Department: Could Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency actually cut down government spending, or will it be another flashy initiative with little impact? 🔹 The S&P 500's Rally Amid Recession Fears: Everyone’s talking about an impending recession but it didn't arrive yet. Why does the S&P 500 continue its upward march? Full episode drops soon! #MarcellusMusings #MarcellusInsights #USMarkets #TrumpPresidency #DOGEInitiative

I didn’t miss out on Nvidia, Google, Apple’s crazy rally because 15% of my equity portfolio gets invested into US stocks through an SIP. The reason to invest in the US is simple, it is the only market where I can get exposure to high tech companies leading in innovation and is investor friendly! I invest in an US index fund so I get a diversified approach to top companies which reduces risk. Last 1 year Indian markets have underperformed and US markets have outperformed and it shows exactly why we should diversify!
