When you truly understand your car and how it reacts at different transmission temperatures—whether it’s cooler or hotter than normal—you can use that information to your advantage and adjust your dial accordingly. By adding a trans temp sensor to your Pro Dash, you can set clear blue, green, and red zones so you instantly know if the temperature is where it needs to be. With just a quick glance, you’ll know if everything is in the sweet spot, and over time you’ll develop the knowledge to make smarter dial-in adjustments when it isn’t. How It Actually Works Turbo lag happens because exhaust gas energy at low RPM is not enough to spin the turbine fast. A NOS ejector solves this by using nitrous oxide to artificially increase exhaust energy for a short duration. When nitrous oxide is injected near the exhaust manifold or turbine inlet, the high temperature causes it to decompose into nitrogen and oxygen. This reaction increases exhaust mass flow and creates rapid gas expansion. The ejector nozzle converts this expansion into very high exhaust gas velocity, creating a low-pressure zone that pulls more exhaust gases towards the turbine. This jet-pump or ejector effect helps the turbine wheel accelerate much faster. The result is instant turbo spool-up, reduced turbo lag, and quicker boost generation, especially useful during launches and low-RPM acceleration in high-boost setups. Once sufficient boost is achieved, the NOS system is switched off to avoid excessive thermal stress on the turbocharger. As air compressors and starting line enhancers become more common, knowing your air pressure before you stage is extremely important. The worst-case scenario is going to activate the starting line enhancer and having nothing happen. By adding an air psi gauge to your launch screen, you can set a warning light that alerts you before the run if pressure is getting too low. We also like to use the sensor to help control when the air compressor cycles. You don’t want the compressor kicking on during the launch or while going down track, because it can rob valuable battery voltage that your ignition and electronics rely on for power and consistency. If you notice the pressure starting to get low, simply cycle the starting line enhancer a couple of times to use some air and trigger the compressor before you make the pass.
