From Disney Parks Blog: When the documentary film debuts on Disney+ and Disney YouTube on January 22, you’ll have a first-hand look at the trials and tribulations behind the rapid construction of the park leading up to its opening day in July 1955. Told through rare archival footage and insightful soundbites, the documentary will allow fans to journey behind the scenes of early Disneyland and uncover the vision, obstacles, and breakthroughs of this ambitious project. Mind blown by this Disneyland documentary fact: they literally had to STEAL TREES to get the park ready for opening day! 🌳⁣ ⁣ Turns out you can't just scale down trees like movie sets - they needed full-size ones and had to "borrow" them from wherever they could find them. Plus Tomorrowland was basically just a fancy facade when the park opened!⁣ ⁣ It's wild thinking about how different 1955 Disneyland was compared to today.
