“Water from thin air? 🌬️💧 Uravu Labs, based in Bangalore, has revolutionised the way we tackle water scarcity. Co-founders Swapnil and Venkatesh, driven by their college experiences, developed a proprietary technology that absorbs moisture from the air and converts it into water. With the potential to become an infinite source of water without harming the environment, this innovation is a game-changer! 💦✨ Watch this video to check out how it’s a game changer. #waterconservation #savegroundwater #renewablewater #watersfuture #climateaction #environment #reelitfeelit #aalekhkapoor #waterscarcity #uravulabs #startups #reverseosmosis #watertreatment #freshwater #watersolution

👉Follow @thelogicalindian A viral video by Instagram user @atultalks77 has expøsed ⱥlleged release of ʉntreⱥted effluents from an 18 MLD Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) in Balotra, Rajasthan, into the Luni River. Filmed at night, the video shows greenish wastewater flowing into the river. While activists ⱥccuse authorities of turning a blɨnd eye, feⱥrs mount over health rɨsks, river ecology, and governance fⱥilʉres. 👉Green Water, Dyɨng River The reel captures CETP outlets dischⱥrging thɨck pollʉted water close to midnight, with stⱥins evident on the roads during the day. Calling it a “full liquid dischⱥrge,” the activist wⱥrned that untreⱥted waste is kɨllɨng Rajasthan’s Luni River, endⱥngerɨng already scarce water resources. 👉Corrʉptɨon And Pollʉtɨon Control Accʉsations of corrʉptɨon were levelled against the CETP, claiming money power blɨnds authorities including the Rajasthan Pollʉtion Control Board. Balotra has faced repeated crɨticɨsm in past for toxɨc efflʉents from its textile units, rⱥising urgent questions over enforcement and public accountability. 👉The Logical Indian’s Perspective The destrʉctɨon of the Luni River is not just an environmental crɨsɨs but a moral fⱥilure. Clean rivers ensure livelihoods, dignity, and future sʉrvɨval. We call on citizens and authorities to unite in ensuring transparency, responsibility, and justice for Rajasthan’s lifeline. ⚡⚡Will we allow greed and neglɨgence to kɨll Luni forever, or rise together and demand accountability to save it? #LuniRiver #Balotra #CETP #Rajasthan #PollutionCrisis #WaterScarcity #SaveOurRivers #TheLogicalIndian (Luni River, Balotra pollution, Rajasthan CETP, untreated waste, water crɨsɨs, river ecology, environmental corrʉptɨon, Rajasthan water shortage)

Jordan 🇯🇴 is one of the most water-scarce countries in the world, with only 84 cubic meters of available water per capita per year, far below the global benchmark for absolute water scarcity of 500 cubic meters. The Jordan Water Sector Efficiency Project aims to reduce water losses, improve service efficiency, lower costs, and enhance the water system’s resilience – with benefits expected to reach 1.6 million people. The water you flush down the toilet will now be recycled into drinking water in California, and that’s actually great news when it comes to climate change. Last year California’s Water Resources Control Board unanimously approved the Direct Potable Reuse Program which allows water treatment facilities to recycle wastewater into drinking water. A major project to test these new regulations is already underway in Los Angeles. Once complete in 2032 Pure Water Southern California will have the ability to provide 385,000 households a day with recycled water. Solutions like this may not be pretty, but they will be necessary moving forward to adapt to the impacts of climate change. Because who doesn’t need access to clean and safe drinking water? #ClimateChange #ClimateCrisis #ClimateAction #ClimateSolutions #ClimateOptimism #California #WaterScarcity #WastewaterRecycling

Cities are both drivers of water stress and key actors in water resilience. With the right planning, finance, and governance, urban water action can reduce climate risk, improve health and strengthen ecosystems all at once. How Cities Are Affected: 1. Water scarcity & drought: chronic shortages (e.g. Cape Town, Chennai) are forcing rationing, informal water markets, and inequality in access. 2. Flooding & water extremes: climate change brings too little water or too much at once. Cities struggle with floods that contaminate drinking water and overwhelm drainage. 3. Inequality & informality: low-income and informal settlements are hit hardest - often paying more for unsafe water or living in flood-prone areas. 4. Economic & health impacts: water stress disrupts industry, energy, food systems, and increases disease risks from unsafe water and sanitation failures. What Cities Can Do in Return 1. Manage water demand better - Reduce leaks (some cities lose 30–50% of water) - Promote water-efficient buildings and appliances - Use smart metering and tiered tariffs that protect the poor 2. Diversify water sources - Rainwater harvesting - Water reuse and recycling (especially for industry and landscaping) - Safe use of groundwater with recharge controls 3. Work with nature, not against it - Restore wetlands, rivers, and floodplains - Use nature-based solutions like green roofs, permeable streets, and urban forests to absorb and filter water 4. Integrate water into urban planning - Avoid building in floodplains - Align land-use planning, housing, transport, and water systems - Plan for future climate scenarios, not past averages 5. Put people at the center - Invest in universal access to safe water and sanitation - Co-design solutions with communities, especially in informal areas - Treat water as a public good, not just a technical service Video by @UNEP

Nestlé steals public drinking water And sells it back to us Nestlé owns bottled water brands worldwide It all comes from local water sources Often in areas with water scarcity They take over 1m gallons a day And pay nearly nothing for it Nestlé has dried up entire rivers Destroying fragile ecosystems and Often leaving vulnerable populations Without a safe water source Nestlé has infiltrated governments And bribed local communities To take control of their water Nestlé’s CEO has argued that Water is not a human right So it should be privatized At the current rate The world will run out of water Before it runs out of oil Dm for sources
