Being a working actor means that every day looks a little bit different. It’s rare that my days are this level of busy, especially not being on set/stage and filming an audition in the same day. The reality of being a working actor typically means a lot of down time between bookings and auditions, sometimes weeks or even months. Then everything happens all at once in my experience. 2025 was a mostly quiet year for me in terms of acting, but an incredibly full year in terms of my personal life. I’ve learned that figuring out how to fill the quiet lulls in a meaningful, fulfilling way is absolutely necessary for longevity in this industry. Leaning into the slow moments makes the busy days so much more rewarding. Choosing to be an actor can make for a really hard and unpredictable lifestyle, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
