KESome days being a writer really does feel like having homework for the rest of your life. No teacher, no due date… but somehow the same exact level of guilt when you don’t get to it.
It’s so funny — I chose this. I want this. And still I’ll be brushing my teeth at night like, “Oh right… that chapter I swore I’d finish three days ago.” Writer brain really said lifelong assignment.
But honestly? I kind of love it. The routine, the chaos, the constant mental tabs open. The way a story just sits there in the back of your mind whispering, “Hey… remember me?” Even when you’re tired or overwhelmed or convinced you forgot something important.
