NI⚠️ One of the most common things I’m asked about is ONLINE INTOLERANCE TESTING .. and my answer is (almost) always the same .. it’s a scam! Save your money!!
Going to your GP is the best thing to do if you suspect a food allergy as they will be able to refer you on (if needed) to a specialist for blood tests or skin prick tests. Both of these test for specific IgE antibodies & are also known as a RAST or MAST test. The results must be looked at along side a full clinical history.
Your GP may also advise you speak to an allergy specialist dietitian who may help to guide you through a period of exclusion & reintroduction of suspected foods - especially in the case of a delayed allergy eg CMPA (cow’s milk protein allergy) .. this is what my toddler has and we are currently on step one of the milk ladder (malted milk!) which aims to help the body to accept the protein in question.
🙅🏻♀️ Please DO NOT waste your money on commercial tests that test for IgG antibodies or claim to analyse your hair as they are not evidence based.

As some of you may know, I have suffered with digestive issues for a long time now. My symptoms include random bloating and pains towards the top of stomach.
I was able to manage the symptoms initially with medication (which I hated being dependent on!) and then in the past 5 years I was able to mostly manage it with my diet (although it’s never been completely better as I’ve never been 100% sure what causes it). THI have been really curious about the kids health and getting all of the information we can! I know my kids all have different food sensitivities and allergies. My middle had such severe allergies as a baby / toddler that we know his but the rest of us we’ve never tested.
