SHThe reasons women leaders are stepping away from their companies are telling. Women leaders are just as ambitious as men, but at many companies, they face headwinds that signal it will be harder to advance. They’re more likely to experience belittling microaggressions, such as having their judgment questioned or being mistaken for someone more junior. They’re doing more to support employee well-being and foster inclusion, but this critical work is spreading them thin and going mostly unrewarded. It’s increasingly important to women leaders that they work for companies that prioritize flexibility, employee well-being, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
And while many companies now have a strategy for #DEI, they're missing something important. Accountability! Thank you Sumit Virmani for calling this out and holding each other #accountable as we work to advance #equality.

THI need non mobility aid users to understand that #wheelchairs cost more than cars and you cannot get custom wheelchairs easily replaced! Throwing money as a solution is not an answer!
We must do better trainings and hold companies #accountable to those #training of our medical equipment- Not Baggage!!!!
Every sector of livelihood is affected by inaccessibilities for different tiers of disability yet no one who claims to be an ally is equally as upset about our abuse!!!
Enough is enough!
A few things I’ve learned after having my wheelchair destroyed a few times at the airports around the nation:
1. Get an airline supervisor and that of the third party company( file complaints through both). Ask for a CRO officer who is required to come on scene.
2. Take notes of the timeline. Take a lot of pictures and know who you spoke to.( best to have photos prior to boarding to show differences)
4. If it’s your main/only chair, don’t leave airport without a solution- including calling area medical supply companies ( Numotion, HME etc). Call in airport management as needed.
5. DOT accessible travel problem hotline does not answer and they take weeks to respond: not a pathway to resolution.
6. Get repair or replacement estimates from the chair company before asked so you know what’s coming and can provide that on demand.
7. Keep a paper trail of follow up with the airline and case workers afterwards
