DRThere’s a simple Android Auto automation that most people don’t know about.
You can set your car to play a custom spoken message through the car speakers automatically when your phone connects to Android Auto.
This is done using MacroDroid, without any extra hardware.
Steps
1. Go to the Play Store and download MacroDroid
2. Open the app and tap Add Macro
3. Tap Trigger (+)
4. Select Connectivity
5. Tap Bluetooth Event
6. Choose Device Connected
7. Select your car’s name
8. Tap Action (+)
9. Select Macros
10. Choose Wait Before Next Action and set it to 12 seconds
11. Tap Action (+) again
12. Select Device Action
13. Choose Speak Text
14. Start the message with “Hi” and type your greeting
15. Select Media or Music in Audio Stream
16. Name the automation and Save
Now, every time your phone connects and Android Auto starts, the message plays through your car speakers automatically.
This works with any car that supports Android Auto.
Cars like Volkswagen Virtus, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Slavia, Skoda Kushaq, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Mahindra XUV700, and Tata Nexon are just examples.
