This day was certainly the best way to kick off our 90 minutes from anywhere adventures.
I haven’t been here for years and defo wouldn’t have thought then, that the next time I’d be back, that I’d be doing the most technical part of the route with my kiddos in tow and doing so, completely on my own, but here we freakin’ are! We did it.
The detes (if you’re interested):

🔃 Distance covered: ~1 mile
⏱️Total time out of house: 11:35-15:55 = 4hrs20mins
💰 Money spent: £1.40 parking
After the hike, both boys fell asleep. I’d planned to take them down to the beach afterwards, but instead I drove down, sat in silence for a bit and just watched the waves roll on by. I then went on a longer route home to let them have a more decent sleep, listened to a podcast and kept smiling to myself knowing that this was the start of so many great adventures and experiences and I’m really excited to share it all with you.
If I hadn’t of done this, today I probably would’ve just done something samey and possibly felt v glum about Andy being gone.
Instead I didn’t have time to feel anything but proud of myself. I started the day he left, sleep deprived af but on to something riveting for my mind, body and soul.
