This is a behind the scenes recreation of King Kong (2005) showing how the massive animatronic hand was used to create the scale illusion with Naomi Watts as Ann Darrow.
Instead of full CGI, large mechanical rigs and hydraulic systems were used to simulate Kong’s movement and realistic grip. Director Peter Jackson supervised these practical setups to enhance realism.
