KAIf you’re new here you might not know how much longarm quilting I used to do. It was a lot. It’s been almost five years since I’ve done much serious longarming, but here we go again. Here are some things I’ve had to remind myself:
1. Don’t hold onto the machine handles so tightly it makes your hands hurt. Relax! Ask my hands how I know.
2. A perfect machine thread is soooooo good. Like so good.
3. Servicing your machine makes everything less frustrating. I had Rocky go through my machine and suddenly it isn’t breaking threads all the time.
4. Kids will always want to play under the longarm no matter how many times you ask them not to. Plan accordingly.
5. It’s really fun. But that doesn’t mean you have to quilt for 15 hour days. An hour here or 20 minutes there is still progress.
