Por dentro tienen una pulpa jugosa, dulce y un poco ácida — con notas cítricas y un leve toque a cacao. No es una fruta comercial. No la vas a encontrar en el supermercado. Solo aparece cuando sabes dónde buscar. Me encanta compartir frutas así, porque la mayoría de las personas ni siquiera saben que existen This is Herrania — monkey cacao. A wild cousin of cacao that grows quietly in the rainforest. The pods are small and thin, growing right off the trunk. Inside is a juicy pulp that tastes sweet and tangy — kind of citrusy with a light cacao hint. You won’t find this in stores. It’s not commercially grown and only shows up if you’re really looking.
