created this piece as homage to the old computer my family’s been lugging around the last 2 decades :v we all hoard sentimentally methinks…💭 one of my first art mediums was watercolour so i wanted to try using something adjacent on the puter screen🖥️ to remind me of the old days🚬 i’ve never used gouache befor n it was a struggle not being able to blend like my digital arts so i think the artstyle is a bit diff but i still like her :D she’s me i always have issues with my right eye i had to get surgery on it a lot as a kid n now i get mosquito bites on it every year i hate summer

ALI know people mean it in the best way possible, but there are times where it feels like the word ‘talent’ can undermine all the hours and energy put into practicing.
Sometimes it’s not talent.. it’s effort.
No one is born with the ability to do anything at a higher level from birth. Some may learn it quicker, but it always requires hard-work, patience and dedication whether it’s learnt quick or not.
I don’t mean to make people feel like praising someone by calling them talented isn’t a good thing. It is. I’m just wanting to bring awareness and put into perspective how it can be interpreted from the other end.
I will always thank anyone that calls me talented, whether it’s true or not. But just don’t think it was in anyway given, and not earned 🙏❤️
