What caused the behavior today was obvious and it was easier to address.
Unfortunately, some behaviors don’t have a clear trigger because it can be anything from a random sad thought, a sensory issue or maybe he just wasn’t feeling well. He is has very limited speech and mostly nonverbal, so behaviors is his way of expressing his feelings. We are still working on using his words, calming and coping.

SUWe took notice of the different ways our child played and how she was always
bursting with energy and endless energy to the moments of short attention spans, we observed more clues – like challenging sleep patterns, multiple meltdowns during the day, sensory sensitivities, fussy eating habits, and restlessness.
These aspects led us to delve deeper into the realms of autism and ADHD, unraveling the complexities that shape our child. Sharing our story aims to build connections with fellow parents, creating an open space to discuss these everyday encounters, learn from one another, and embrace the beautiful diversity inherent in raising kids.

Everything you need to know about life with high-functioning autism.
It's no secret that the term ‘high functioning’ has now been discontinued within the autism community due to it being unhelpful to many autistic individuals.
People now use the term lower support needs autism.
So what is life like with low support needs autism? This is w good question, as many people cannot see and do not realise the struggles these Individuals have autism because it is classed as a hidden disability.
Many of the struggles that autistic people incur are:
1. Fear
Extremely fearful of busy places, holidays and events and many social situations.
2. Anxiety
Crippling anxiety that may lead to burnout, shutdowns and, eventually, meltdowns.
3. GI Issues
Issues like Irritable bowel syndrome can be disabling for many autistic people.
4. Panic Based Anger Issues
Enter issues that may result in self-harm and extreme depression. This stems from panic about situations.
5. Executive Function Issues
Having difficulty in life, simple tasks like cooking, washing clothes and even just putting cups down on the countertop safely.
These are all very difficult to deal with for Autistic individuals.

ANMy sister is autistic and she will always be treated like a princess hahaha. Also, to all parents or caregivers out there because they don’t understand not to sleep with their hair wet so we have to always dry her hair before she sleeps. I guess it an “Asian thing” not to sleep with our hair wet, because it might cause us to have headaches and bad hair.
We also blow her hair in a short blast of hot and cold air, cause we don’t know if she might feel pain but doesn’t know how to express
