STOP SCROLLING! This is important information that most people don’t know.. There is a reason we use the word “backbone” a lot in our day to day lives. It’s incredibly important - our spines our the backbone of ALL of our movement and functions. If our spine goes, we go. Think about it - how terrifying is the thought of a spinal injury? We need to be intentionally caring for our spines every single day. These simple movements that I demonstrated here are amazing for daily use but this is just the tip of the ice berg! If you want to learn how to move your spine and practice new classes with me every week then go to the link in my bio and sign up for my membership where I provide you with new weekly videos and a schedule to take the guess work out of caring for your body. Don’t let another day go by where you neglect your spine. 🖤 #spine #spinalhealth #spinehealth #catcow #fitness #mobility

Join us on our Journey @Lifeicle Your spine does more than hold you upright. Inside it runs the spinal cord — a fast communication highway carrying signals between your brain and body every second. It absorbs shock, balances your weight, adapts to posture, and remembers how you use it over time. Movement strengthens it. Stillness stiffens it. Habits shape it. This is what your spine is really doing — quietly, constantly, without you noticing. #Spine, #HumanBody, #DidYouKnow, #BiologyExplained, #Anatomy, #HealthScience, #Neuroscience, #Posture, #ScienceShorts, #ThingsWorthKnowing #Lifeicle

The spine, also known as the vertebral column or backbone, is a long, flexible column of bones that runs down the back of the body. It provides support, structure, and protection to the body, and allows for movement. The spine is made up of several important parts: * Vertebrae: These are the individual bones that make up the spine. There are 26 vertebrae in total, which are divided into five regions: cervical (neck), thoracic (upper back), lumbar (lower back), sacrum (pelvis), and coccyx (tailbone). * Intervertebral discs: These are the cushions between the vertebrae that absorb shock and allow for movement. * Spinal cord: This is a bundle of nerves that runs through the center of the spine and carries messages between the brain and the rest of the body. * Spinal nerves: These are nerves that branch out from the spinal cord and innervate the muscles and skin of the body. The muscles of the back are divided into several groups based on their location and function. Here’s an overview: Superficial Back Muscles 1. Trapezius: Extends from the occipital bone to the lower thoracic vertebrae and scapula. Functions in moving the scapula and supporting arm movements. 2. Latissimus Dorsi: Large muscle covering the lower back, extending to the humerus. Important for shoulder adduction, extension, and internal rotation. 3. Levator Scapulae: Runs from the cervical vertebrae to the scapula. Elevates the scapula. 4. Rhomboid Major and Minor: Situated under the trapezius, connecting the spine to the scapula. Retract the scapula. Intermediate Back Muscles 1. Serratus Posterior Superior: Lies under the rhomboids, helps in elevating the ribs during inhalation. 2. Serratus Posterior Inferior: Located under the latissimus dorsi, assists in depressing the ribs during exhalation. Deep Back Muscles (Intrinsic Muscles) 1. Erector Spinae Group: A large muscle group that runs along the spine, divided into three columns: • Iliocostalis: Lateral column, extends the spine. • Longissimus: Middle column, extends and laterally flexes the spine. • Spinalis: Medial column, extends the spine. 2. Transversospinalis Group: Deep to the erector spinae, includes several smaller muscles: • Semispinalis: Extends the cervical and thoracic regions. • Multifidus: Important for spinal stability. • Rotatores: Smallest, involved in rotational movements of the spine. 3. Quadratus Lumborum: Located in the lower back, important for lateral flexion of the spine. Suboccipital Muscles Located at the base of the skull, these small muscles include: • Rectus Capitis Posterior Major and Minor • Obliquus Capitis Superior and Inferior These muscles are primarily responsible for head movements and stabilisation. Understanding the anatomy of the back muscles is crucial for diagnosing and treating various musculoskeletal conditions. Animation @sciepro.official #backpain

6 years ago I broke my collarbone practicing calisthenics. The doctors told me that I had to be 6 months of absolute rest and I would not be able to do dynamics again. I suppose we build our own destiny, no one said it would be easy but with effort and discipline everything is possible. To this day I continue to train and compete and I will continue like this. I just have to say thank you to all the people who support me and motivate me to move forward. ❤️

Coccyx Fracture: A 3D Perspective on Tailbone Injuries A coccyx fracture involves a break or bruise in the small, triangular tailbone at the spine’s base. Most often caused by a backward fall onto a hard surface, this injury results from direct impact and can lead to significant localized pain. ⚠️ Key symptoms typically include: ➡️ Sharp pain when sitting or standing up ➡️ Tenderness and swelling near the tailbone ➡️ Discomfort during extended sitting or certain movements 🛌 Treatment is generally conservative and includes: ➡️ Rest and avoiding prolonged sitting ➡️ Using a donut or wedge cushion to relieve pressure ➡️ Gentle stretches and mobility exercises as healing progresses 📌 With VOKA 3D Anatomy & Pathology, explore the coccyx and surrounding anatomy in interactive 3D. Visualize injury mechanisms, related structures, and rehabilitation approaches in clear, immersive detail — ideal for learning and patient education. #CoccyxFracture #TailboneInjury #SpineHealth #Orthopedics #3DAnatomy #MedicalAnimation #MedicalVisualization #MedEd #Anatomy #Pathology #DigitalHealth #HealthcareEducation #Physiotherapy #PatientEducation
