RE👇 EDIT 👇 so this reel really took off for some reason. Here are some of my thoughts ...
✅ "Real musicians" don't talk crap about other musicians 🤔
✅ I am not here to debate whether or not to use tracks on stage. I am here to play keys and trigger those tracks when I am asked to do so 🤷♀️
✅ This is an excerpt from a 60 min medley full of tracks, triggers and program changes, and the click track keeps us synced to those.
✅ The singers are pitchy because the guitar had suddenly dropped way out of tune seconds before. It's why the tracks were stopped.
✅ If only you know who this guitar player actually was (seriously) ... Having this happen in front of thousands of people, in a solo intro, with no guitar tech present ... It's the stuff of nightmares.
✅ All musicians on this stage are truly great. This is obviously not our greatest moment. Music is supposed to be fun, not perfect. These are amazing performers that made the best out of the worst situation.
✅ I normally go off stage to drink, but the guitar issue needed my attention, so I came back on.
✅ I'm fully sober. My voice sounds the way it does due to vocal chord surgery gone wonky 🏳️⚧️
✅ I changed the click sound since posting this reel 🤦♀️ I didn't realise it sounded that bad 🥲
✅ The reason I became a musican was because I've never felt more safe, loved and accepted than I have in the music scene.
Let's focus more on those values, and less on talking crap about each other ♥️💙
