TEYou don't need to buy fancy, high priced supplements for you chickens.
Red pepper - supports immune system health, improves circulation, and enhances nutrient absorption. (Chickens lack the necessary receptors to taste capsaicin)
Tumeric - boosts immune function, has natural anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antibacterial properties and improves gut health.
Whole eggs - provide essential amino acids, fats and other nutrients like vitamins A, D and E, calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus. (Great for molting season)
I'm not knocking anyone who does buy chicken feed supplements but they aren't something a lot of people can afford. They aren't something I'm too interested in spending a lot of money on. We all know that the cost of feed and shavings alone can really add up, especially in today's economy. It's perfectly fine to make do with what you already have on hand or can pick up for a few bucks at the grocery store if you want or need to give your birds a little something extra to support their health!

🍿 The fastest way to your chickens' hearts is through their stomachs! Find a treat they love (like Grubblies!) and suddenly you’ve got a feathery fan club following you EVERYWHERE.
💩 There will be poop. Lots of it. If they free range, expect surprise landmines. If they’re in a run, stay on top of it with regular raking, fresh bedding, and good airflow to keep things dry and manageable. Future you will be grateful.
🥚 What you feed them shows up later. Strong bodies, glossy feathers, and hens that are ready to roll into egg season like absolute pros all start with solid nutrition.
Chickens are chaotic. Chickens are hilarious. And when they’re well fed, they’re resilient, productive, and absolutely worth every scoop and every cleanup! 🐔💚
