Did you know that bread making isn’t really as hard as you think watching complex videos! Here is a simple breakdown of all the steps required to make a fluffy bakery style bread! Recipe All purpose flour (maida) - 360g or 3 cups Milk - 240g or 1 cup Active dry yeast - 7g or 2tsp Sugar - 30g or 2tbsps (add half in wet half in dry) Salt - 9g or 1/2 tbsp Milk powder - 8g or 1 tbsp Softened butter 60g or 1/4th cup Yield - 550g bread loaf Loaf size - 8inch loaf or half kg loaf Baking - pre heat oven to 180*c with fan mode on, bake for 30minutes - 1. Activate active dry yeast in room temp (22*c - 30*c) milk, mixed with half of the sugar. 2. In a big bowl, add all purpose flour (maida), sugar, salt and milk powder. Add the bloomed yeast and start kneading. 3. Once the dough comes together and no dry flour is left, add softened butter. Continue to knead for 15 minutes and then perform windowpane test. This indicated adequate gluten formation in your dough to facilitate a good rise. 4. Shape dough into a ball and let the dough rise till it triples in size (bulk fermentation). This may take anywhere between 1 hour - 3 hours depending on the temperature. 5. Deflate the dough and shape into your preferred bread. Let rise again till double in size (second proofing). 6. Apply some butter on the loaf and bake in a pre heated oven at 180*c with fan mode on for 30 minutes. 7. Always let bread cool down (do not cover) before demoulding and cutting. Crusty, homemade bread—ready the same day and so easy! 🥖✨ This is the bread I make anytime we want something quick at home—or to bring to a friend. 4 ingredients. No kneading. Mix, rise, shape, and bake in a Dutch oven. Ingredients (2 loaves) • 3 cups lukewarm water • 1 Tbsp active dry yeast (or instant yeast for faster rise) • 1½ tsp salt • 6½ cups all-purpose flour Method 1. In a large bowl, whisk water and yeast until dissolved. Stir in flour and salt until combined (dough will be sticky). 2. Cover and let rise at room temp until doubled, about 2–3 hours (or 1 hour with instant yeast). 3. Divide dough, shape into loaves, and let rest 20–40 minutes. Sticky dough is normal—add a little flour if needed. Wet hands lightly if dough sticks. 4. Preheat oven to 450°F with Dutch oven inside. Slash tops and bake: 30 minutes covered, then 10–15 minutes uncovered. 5. Cool at least 1 hour before slicing. This is one of my staple bread recipes, and it’s included in The Homemade Kitchen—your go-to resource for easy, everyday recipes. 🤍

Shokupan “eat bread” | Japanese Cotton Milk Bread Thick slice of toasted milk bread with butter is a joyful simple life ~~ Incredible recipe by @namiko.h.chen 🍞250 g warm water (not too hot, something you’d feel happy putting a dog to bath in) 🍞20 g sugar 🍞7 g kosher salt (use half table salt) 🍞10 g honey 🍞7 g instant yeast 🍞25 g room temp salted butter (add after 5 mins of kneading) DRY 🍞350 g bread flour 🍞20 g skim milk powder/nonfat dry milk powder (supermarkets sell in shelf long milk section) For Greasing 🍞½ tsp neutral oil 🍞generous amount of unsalted butter (greasing bread tin) 👩🏻‍🍳Method (recommend stand mixer, RIP my hands) 🍞 in medium sized bowl add: warm water, salt, sugar, honey, yeast and mix well 🍞leave it to get bubbly for 10minutes 🍞in large bowl mix flour and milk powder and make a hole in the centre 🍞pour the bubbly yeast mixture into the flour and mix with chopsticks or spatula (or rice cooker paddle) 🍞 mix until there are no dry bits and leave for 20minutes - cover with a damp towel 🍞 use a stand mixer, level 4, kneed for 5 minutes - it will transform from sticky to smooth 🍞add butter and kneed, level 6, for 5 minutes (you might need to hold down the stand mixer) 🍞lightly flour a clean surface and make a smooth ball of dough 🍞 grease a large bowl add the dough and cover with cling for 45 minutes in a warm place (wardrobe can work) 🍞punch the dough out 🍞divide into 3 pieces and roll into logs 🍞butter your loaf tin and add the dough 🍞cover with cling film and leave to double in size for (40-50mins) 🍞 bake 190c (no lid) 210c (with lid) fan - 20minutes or until nice golden 🍞cool on a wire rack for 1-2hrs 🍞pull bread apart for incredible cotton-like fluffiness Doing it by hand: 🍞 by hand this took 20minutes, 10mins kneed add butter another 10mins kneed use a rice cooker paddle to kneed instead of hand so it doesn’t stick all over your hands 🥹) #japanese #bakery #baking #japanesecuisine #bread #milkbread #shokupan #breadrecipe #foodporn #asmr #foodasmr #asian #theraputic #aesthetic #easyrecipe #bakingrecipe #breadrecipe #bun #bao

Recipe: https://u-taste.com/recipe/soft-milk-bread-loaf/ Ingredients 260 g bread flour 65 g milk (cold) 50 g heavy cream 30 g condensed milk 15 g milk powder 30 g granulated sugar 10 g honey 3 g instant yeast 1 egg 22 g unsalted butter 3 g salt Instructions In the stand mixer bowl, bring together bread flour, milk, heavy cream, condensed milk, milk powder, sugar, honey, instant yeast and 1 egg, beat in medium high speed until a dough ball forms. Add in butter and salt and beat until well combined. Flour the working surface/pastry mat, divide the dough ball into 3 equal portions, and roll them into 3 dough balls. Cover them with plastic wrap. Take one dough ball, roll it flat into a long narrow rectangle, turn it upside down and roll it up. Again, roll it flat into a long narrow rectangle, turn it upside down and roll it up. Place it into the bread tin (19.6*10.6*11 cm). Repeat these steps with the other two dough balls and place them into the bread tin as well. Put on the lid and let rise until doubled in size. 1 tsp instant yeast
1½ cups warm water • Mix ingredients and let it sit at room temperature for about 3 hours, or until the dough has doubled in size. • Lightly sprinkle flour over and under the dough and shape it into a ball. • Place a sheet of parchment paper over a large bowl and spread olive oil over the paper to prevent the dough from sticking while baking. • Place the dough onto the prepared, oiled parchment paper and bowl. • Preheat the oven to 450°F with the Dutch oven inside. Let the dough rest in room temperature while the oven preheats. • Once the oven is preheated, carefully place the dough (with the parchment paper) into the hot Dutch oven and cover with the lid. • Bake for 30 minutes with the lid on. • Remove the lid and bake for another 12–15 minutes, until golden brown. • Let the bread cool for 1 hour before slicing.
