Would you ever go on a barge cruise? Ask me anything about barge cruises! It's a luxurious way to travel in Europe! Most people have heard of river cruises but not barge cruises. They're quite different from one another. River cruises have 150-200 passengers and sail down rivers to cities and larger towns. Barge cruises have 8-12 passengers and it is a much more intimate and luxurious experience, sailing down canals to smaller towns and villages usually. The crew to passenger ratio is usually around 1:1 and there's a private chef on board. Tours are usually all private as well! One typical day included a private tour of the Royal Delft Museum, a relaxing afternoon sailing to our next destination, and some free time to explore the town of Leiden. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all included on the barge. Have any questions about barging? মাঝখান থেকে ভেঙে যাচ্ছে জাহাজ! 😳🚢 Why This Ship Splits in Half! দেখে মনে হবে—জাহাজটা বুঝি এখনই ডুবে যাবে! 😲 মাঝখান থেকে যেন কেটে ফেলা হয়েছে… কিন্তু এটা কোনো দুর্ঘটনা নয়—এটা ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবেই করা হয়! এই ধরনের জাহাজকে বলা হয় Split Hopper Barge। এর ভেতরে থাকে শক্তিশালী মেকানিজম, যা জাহাজের হালকে মাঝখান থেকে খুলে দিতে পারে। কিন্তু কেন এমন করা হয়? 🤔 আসলে এই জাহাজগুলো বড় বড় প্রজেক্টে ব্যবহার করা হয়—বিশেষ করে সমুদ্র বা নদী থেকে মাটি, বালি বা পাথর ফেলে জমি ভরাট করার কাজে। যখন জাহাজটি নির্দিষ্ট জায়গায় পৌঁছায়, তখন এটি মাঝখান থেকে খুলে যায়— আর ভেতরে জমা থাকা সব মাটি বা বালি একসাথে নিচে পড়ে যায়। ফলে খুব দ্রুত এবং সহজে বড় পরিমাণ উপাদান ফেলা সম্ভব হয়! 🚢✨ এক কথায়—এটা কোনো দুর্ঘটনা নয়, বরং একদম স্মার্ট ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং! 😎 #ship #engineering #barge #construction #technology interestingfacts didyouknow viralvideo marine innovation

Hollanda’da gördüğün bu tekneler var ya… 🚢 Bunlar aslında eski yük gemileri: “barge” 😄 Ama olay şu: bazıları bildiğin aile evi olmuş! 🇳🇱 İçine girince tekne hissi bile kalmıyor: mutfak, banyo, salon, çocuk odası… hatta bazen küçük teras bile var 🌿 Özellikle Amsterdam kanallarında çoğu sabit durur Yani denizde gezen tekne değil, suyun üstüne park edilmiş ev gibi 😅 Ve evet… içinde gerçekten aileler yaşıyor 👨‍👩‍👧 Çocuklar sabah okula gidiyor, ebeveynler işe gidiyor Tek fark ne?
