TH✨ Rylee’s Beads of Courage ✨
At the hospital Rylee was introduced to something called “Beads of Courage”. Each bead represents a milestone in her journey 🥺every poke, transfusion, chemo treatment, procedure, and even the toughest days she’s bravely endured.
What might look like just a string of beads to some is actually a powerful symbol of her courage. Every color tells part of her story so far:
🤍 White – chemo (she’s already had more than a couple, and we’ll be adding more soon)
🧡 Orange – port placement
💙 Blue – clinic visits
💜 Purple – IVs
💛 Yellow – overnight hospital stays
🖤 Black – port accesses
❤️ Red – blood & platelet transfusions
💚 Light Green – x-rays
🩷 Magenta – ambulance rides
🤎 Beige – bone marrow biopsy
⭐ Glass Star – general surgery
💚🤍 Green & White – hospital discharges
💟 Square Heart – intensive care
Some beads are still missing, but we’ll collect them next time. But each one is a reminder of what she’s been through and just how brave she’s been through it all 🥰
As her beads grow, so does the reminder that while this road is incredibly hard, she is stronger than words can explain.
One day, this string will tell the full story of her courage, something we’ll treasure forever.
