Well, if you haven’t we’re calling all thrill-seekers and winter enthusiasts, this is absolutely your sign to unlock a core memory of conquering snowboarding at night!⛷️ Take your pick at one of the many ski resorts surrounding Boone, NC to have the best night snowboarding experience!📌 1️⃣ Appalachian Ski Mountain 🏔️ (@appalachianskimtn) A great mountain to start at, especially for beginner-level / first-time skiers that has a great outdoor ice rink for all the ice skaters out there! Appalachian Ski Mountain has very affordable lift tickets and rentals, open until 11 PM, and it is well-lit at night so you can enjoy skiing or snowboarding into the evening! 2️⃣ Beech Mountain Resort 🏔️ (@beechmtn) A much larger mountain with more lifts and runs for more experienced visitors (they still have bunny slopes to learn on if you’re a beginner)! There are incredible peak views for those of you that are suckers for good views! It has very affordable lift tickets and rentals too! Beech Mountain is open until 10 PM and well-lit for the night skiing enthusiasts! Want to see more of Boone? So we are going to black diamond and we get to the top. Mind you, the wind is blowing like an insane amount and the minute one person gets off the lift, the weight of the lift is shifted. I try to jump up and then I feel my friend grabbing me. I quickly, held on to the lift and then next thing you know, the wind blows my skis up, I try to reach the worker but he has AirPods in. Not a single employee at beech mountain is paying attention at the top.. that really irked me. Like, why are you consistently on your phone and not monitoring the lift at all😭 THEN, when I get to the bottom, an employee rips my skis off and tells me to go to the kid slope first. I was like… I skied my whole life but he didn’t even give me a chance to explain either. I had to stand in the line again😭😭 Overall, I will not be sitting by 4 people on a lift anymore

First Time Snowboarding @skisugar Sugar Mountain Two years & two ACL surgeries later, I can say I successfully snowboarded🙏🏼 Planned a Mini Thanksgiving Trip to Beech Mountain months ago not knowing if there would be snow.... Luckily, the temperature dropped when we got there🥶 While both mountains made snow, only Sugar Mountain opened on Black Friday😊 Took it easy just to see how my knee would feel. It's definitely not the same as it used to be, but I'll keep training and working through it💪🏼 Got flagged by Ski Patrol saying I couldn't have a selfie stick extended while riding down the mountain....... That's kind of the whole point to capture the experience?🤔 With an @insta360 you have to have the stick extended to get that nice 3rd person view setup, which I've never had a problem with at ANY other mountain. Out of the 4 mountains I've been to in North Carolina, Sugar Mountain was the best & my favorite for only having one run open as it is the longest. Cataloochee only compares to Sugar if Upper Snowbird to Lower Snowbird to Turkey Trot are open as you get so much more out of the mountain when the majority of their trails are running. However, getting flagged by Ski Patrol for video recording myself going down the mountain was frustrating, and if this policy continues, it will unfortunately be my first and last visit😥 #SugarMountain #SkiSugar #NorthCarolina #BeechMountain #Snowboarding #Thanksgiving #BlackFriday #BannerElk #PostACLSurgery Proverbs 27:17 "As Iron Sharpens Iron, So One Person Sharpens Another"
