Oshane on the grills 🔥 There’s 3 things we’re best known for; that’s Chops, Cheesecake and of course Sunday Roast.  We might try and tempt you with our cocktail trolley which at the best of times can be a little unhinged or charm you with our big chops but when it comes down to it - that’s our holy grail.  If you’re skirting around our skinny chops, go All In... after all it’s the go to solution in that indecisive “oh-god-I’m-next” moment. SO what is it? —other than a meaty mountain of fun. It’s the chef’s pick of chops from that day. You’ll spot a couple of Lamb Cutlets and T-bones fanning around the plate, Pork Belly and Loin sat proudly for all to see with Beef tucked on top of charred flat bread, arguably the best bit.  Although it comes out pretty quick, we do our best not to leave you hanging while we cook, and have found that a selection of Pre-Chop Bites just before really does hit the spot. So in honour of National Cheesecake Day, we’re officially letting the (cheesecake-loving) cat out of the bag 🧀🎂 Whether you’re hosting a summer dinner party, marking the date in sweet style, or simply in need of a creamy pick-me-up, this is our gift to you. INGREDIENTS — The Topping 100g crème fraîche 1 tub of Philadelphia cream cheese 500ml of double cream 250g of white chocolate buttons — The Base 150 g unsalted butter 1 pack of digestive biscuits (McVitie’s – of course) — To Finish Always white chocolate curls (shaved with love) METHOD Soften the Filling In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and crème fraîche with a spatula until smooth and combined. Set aside. Whip the Cream In a separate bowl, semi-whip the double cream using an electric whisk. You’re aiming for soft peaks - fluffy, but not too firm. Melt the Chocolate Gently melt the white chocolate buttons over a bain-marie until smooth and glossy. Aim for 37°C (just warm to the touch). Bring It All Together First, fold the melted chocolate into the cream cheese mix using a gentle figure-of-eight motion. Then, fold in the whipped cream until the filling is light, creamy, and fully blended. Make the Base Melt the butter in a saucepan. Crush the digestive biscuits in a bag with a rolling pin (or whatever takes your fancy) being careful to keep the pieces of biscuit reasonably large and stir into the butter until evenly coated. Layer & Chill Press the biscuit mixture into the base of your serving dish. Spoon the cheesecake mixture on top and smooth the surface. Finish with generous white chocolate curls. Leave to set for at least an hour, though overnight in the fridge delivers ultimate cheesecake bliss. We had the pigs head on toast which comes with gravy. This was absolutely delicious, not sure what I was expecting when I ordered this but it certainly didn't disappoint. For mains we went for 700g of prime rib, beef dripping chips and chop sauce. We asked for our meat to be cooked medium rare and it was cooked to perfection.
