THJust a couple of things that helped me chill the eff out. 🧘♀️
Clearly I’m no huge success but I’ve also grown a lot since I started. I just wanted to share some things that helped me slowly grow account-wise as well as self-wise. I know that they seem obvious. But sometimes it’s hard for us to accept what’s right in front of our faces. That certainly happens to me a lot.
I was fighting with the algorithm. Posting when it suggested. Buying ads. Using tags. Nothing helped. It just is what it is. But I still try to improve my content so when people actually DO stumble across it. Does it help? I think so. I definitely feel more proud of what I’ve created the last year than the year before!
And I am SO happy I STOPPED tracking everything I read. I no longer try to read as quickly as I can. I savor and enjoy. I no longer read books simply because they are being hyped on booksta—and as I sit here with my tin foil at I have the eerie feeling that a lot of it is insincere and may even be marketing technique. Genius on their part. Detrimental to my bank account and time on this earth.
I’m also so happy that I stopped trying to be what I thought others wanted. And just am my easily distracted, highly disorganized, extremely expressive self. Not everyone is going to like me or what I create or even what I read. That’s okay. I feel better being myself than trying to be what I think others want me to be. ❤️
