Sharing a few things to look forward to during the best weekend of the year in Boston: 🦢Official return of the Swan Boats in the Boston Public Garden at 10am on Saturday 🏟️ Red Sox home games at Fenway Park Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday 🏃🏻‍♂️ Boston Marathon Fan Fest at City Hall Plaza Friday - Sunday 🌸 Magnolias blooming on Commonwealth Ave 🦮 MA Golden Dog Meetup on Boston Common on Sunday at 12noon 👟BAA 5K Race on Saturday at 8am 🌼 Boston Strong daffodils on display throughout town 🐾 Cori Copley in her marathon finery at The Fairmont Copley Square 💙💛 Marathon Monday!! I can’t wait to cheer on the runners during the marathon (and love watching them train around the city all weekend). 💙💛 Will you participate in any Boston Marathon-related or spring events this weekend?

• Nobody actually calls it Beantown • There are more Dunkins thank parking spaces • People will argue about whether Cambridge is Boston for the rest of time • Someone will explain Boston directions using landmarks that no longer exist • You will eventually argue about the best lobster roll in the city • Everyone has strong opinions about which North End bakery is the best • You measure distance in T stops, not miles • Someone will tell you their parking spot story like it’s a war memory • Every Boston driver believes they’re the only good driver on the road • Fenway will sell out on a random Tuesday in April • The line for Mike’s Pastry will somehow always be 45 minutes • If the weather hits 50 degrees, people act like it’s summer • You will hear someone say “wicked” at least three times a day • Patriots talk will somehow enter every conversation • Nobody agrees on how to pronounce Worcester • Everyone has a very strong opinion about the best clam chowder • If it snows, people immediately panic buy bread and milk • You will accidentally become emotionally invested in the Red Sox • Walking through Boston Common on the first warm day of spring is basically a city ritual

Anne Hathaway plans to stay sober for the next 18 years, until her sons are out of the house. She says she didn’t like being hung over in front of her kids. “I didn’t put [a drink] down because my drinking was a problem; I put it down because the way I drink leads me to have hangovers and those were the problem,” Hathaway told Boston Common. “I quit drinking back in October, for 18 years,” Hathaway said on Ellen, after recounting the story of her wild night with McConaughey and Alves. “I’m going to stop drinking while my son is in my house, just because I don’t totally love the way I do it and he’s getting to an age where he really does need me all the time in the mornings.” “The time I have with [my son] is really precious,” Hathaway said. “My issue is I just love it. So. Much. But the way I do it makes me unavailable for my son. I wasn’t driving, but I was hungover and that was enough for me.
