GULast week, I joined a unique event in London to witness Braco’s gaze. Known for one of the most unusual forms of “help,” Braco says nothing in his sessions. He simply stands silently and looks into the audience’s eyes. No teachings. No doctrine. No touch. Just eye contact.
Born Josip Grbavac in Zagreb in 1967, he first trained as an economist and ran a successful business. Everything changed in 1993 when he became the protégé of Ivica Prokić, a Serbian spiritual healer famed for his intuition and the heavy gold jewellery he believed held symbolic power. Braco followed him for two years until Prokić tragically drowned during a trip to South Africa. Devastated, Braco withdrew, but followers urged him to continue.
Stripping everything back, he discovered what remained: the gaze. Participants describe feelings of calm, emotional release, and even reports of dramatic healing. Braco himself calls it simply giving help
