Shayad aapne internet par ek viral video dekhi hogi jisme ek young ladka stroke ke baad apni body control nahi kar pa raha tha. Use kuch time pehle massive brain stroke hua tha, lekin sahi treatment aur physiotherapy se dheere-dheere uski recovery possible hui. Ye sirf ek recovery video nahi, balki ek medical reminder hai. Aaj bhi stroke aur paralysis ki awareness kam hai. India mein har saal lagbhag 18 lakh log stroke ka shikaar hote hain, aur 10–15% patients 40 saal se kam age ke hote hain. Isliye stroke ke early symptoms pehchanna bahut zaroori hai. Stroke ke lakshan yaad rakhne ka ek simple formula hai: BEFAST 🔹 B – Balance: Agar kisi ka achanak balance bigadne lage ya chalne mein problem ho 🔹 E – Eyes: Achanak ek side ki vision loss ya blurred vision 🔹 F – Face: Muh tedha ho jana ya face ka ek side kaam na karna 🔹 A – Arm: Ek haath mein weakness ya grip na hona 🔹 S – Speech: Bolne mein dikkat, words clear na bol paana ya samajhne mein problem 🔹 T – Time: Ye sab symptoms dikhe toh time waste mat karein — turant hospital jaayein Stroke hone ke baad har minute mein lagbhag 1.9 million brain neurons damage ho jaate hain. Agar treatment mein delay ho gaya toh permanent brain damage ka risk badh jata hai. Isliye symptoms ko ignore na karein. Jitni jaldi treatment start hoga, utna zyada brain damage ko roka ja sakta hai. Agar aapko ye information useful lagi ho, toh is post ko zaroor share karein. "It was Holi, 2021. We had a small family gathering and I was busy cooking all day. My husband Somnath was feeling unwell, his blood pressure had shot up. Later he said, ‘Tomorrow is my day off, leave the kitchen to me.’ I was tired and fell asleep. Next morning when I woke up I found him lying on the floor, lifeless & cold; I immediately rushed him to the hospital. But he was gone, the doctors said he had suffered a brain stroke. My world shattered. We got married in 2005 right after my board exams; Though we had an arranged marriage we fell in love and became best friends. In spite of my limited educational qualification, he never underestimated me. I wanted to create my own identity and my husband always gave wings to my dreams. In 2006 we moved to Ahmedabad & I joined a hotel as a back office executive. We would go out on weekends and plan short trips. We’ve two kids; Our bond was strong & we shared responsibilities together. In 2011 after leaving my job and shifting to Kolkata I didn’t like sitting idle at home. So I kept doing small things that gave me happiness. I made videos on social media & would participate in online contests. I would win several gifts and products. In 2017 an app approached me as a content creator and I was earning. He supported me throughout be it with the kids’ homework or household chores. It was his dream that I become a graduate so on his insistence I started studying again. He would always say, ‘Antara you can do it!’ Today I realise that his absence taught me a lot of things. My daughters were left traumatised. People who I had considered my own had now cut off their ties with me and we were left on our own. I was blank, but I was determined to rise. I joined an online computer course and continued blogging to keep myself occupied. The day I graduated I cried my heart out. His dream paved the way for our future. This year I got a job and I have started teaching in a school. Currently I'm also a social media influencer and a private tutor. I want my daughters to be responsible and independent when they grow up. Pain does last forever, but hope does. So when life throws you down, pick yourself up and fight back. Again."

After a brain stroke, one of the biggest challenges patients face is relearning how to walk. A stroke disrupts the normal communication between the brain and the muscles. The pathways that once controlled movement can become weak or inactive, which is why walking may become difficult, slow, or uncoordinated. But the brain has an incredible ability called neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to reorganise itself by forming new neural connections. When the right movements are repeated again and again, the brain begins to rebuild the pathways needed to control those movements. This is where robotic-assisted gait training becomes extremely powerful. The system guides the legs through a correct walking pattern, while the body experiences hundreds to thousands of repetitions in a single session. Each step sends signals back to the brain, helping it relearn the rhythm, coordination, and control required for walking. Over time, this repetitive, accurate movement stimulates the nervous system to strengthen and rebuild the neural pathways responsible for gait. In simple terms: the brain learns to walk again by practicing the right movement, repeatedly. With advanced neuro-rehabilitation and the science of neuroplasticity, walking again after brain stroke becomes possible. . . . #BrainStroke #Neuroplasticity #NeuroRehabilotation #BrainStrokeRehab #BrainStrokeSurvivor

Rajkumar from Motihari in Patna district of Bihar shared an important concern during his visit. Coming from a rural village background, he explained that medical emergencies are quite common in their area. Many times a person suddenly becomes unconscious in the village, and people around find it very difficult to understand whether the person is having fits or seizures, a heart attack, or a brain stroke. Because of this confusion, precious time is often lost before the patient receives proper medical care. Rajkumar requested guidance so that villagers can learn how to identify these emergencies and provide the right help in time. Responding to this concern, Dr. Abhishek Shukla, Senior Geriatrician, explained in detail the differential diagnosis between seizures, heart attack, and brain stroke. He described that seizures or fits usually present with sudden jerking movements of the body, stiffness, frothing from the mouth, tongue biting, and temporary loss of consciousness, followed by confusion once the episode ends. He further explained that a heart attack generally presents with severe chest pain or pressure, sweating, breathlessness, nausea, and sometimes pain radiating to the left arm, jaw, or back. In contrast, a brain stroke often presents with sudden weakness or paralysis of one side of the body, difficulty in speaking, facial deviation, sudden confusion, or loss of balance. Dr. Shukla emphasized that recognizing these warning signs early and seeking immediate medical help can save lives, especially in rural areas where medical facilities may not be immediately accessible.#stroke #heartattack #brainstroke
