Your daughter doesn’t flinch. She stands firm. She calls the shot with confidence—because you taught her how. But the world still thinks she needs protection. Still thinks she needs saving. Truth? She’s not waiting to be rescued. She’s ready to lead 🔥 Here are three tips to empower your daughters to build self-belief: 👑Teach Her to Trust Her Gut: Encourage her to listen to that inner voice—whether it’s a yes or a no. Teach her that her feelings are valid and that she doesn’t need permission to honor them. 👑Help Her Set & Hold Boundaries: ‘Nice girls’ are often conditioned to be agreeable, but real confidence comes from knowing when to say no without guilt. Give her the language to stand firm without apologizing for it. 👑 Lead by example & model self-worth in action: She learns more from what you do than what you say. When she sees you choosing yourself, speaking up, and standing tall, she learns she can do the same. ⛓️‍💥Breaking cycles starts with us—but the future belongs to her. 👑What’s one lesson you wish you had learned earlier about trusting yourself? Drop it in the comments—I’d love to read! If you’re raising strong girls—or becoming one yourself—you’re in the right place. ✨ Day 1 of my top 5 empowered healing reels of 2025 ✨ Save. Share. Stay for the rest. 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽 🌠 Follow @iam_natashamoore for more empowered healing inspo! That scene in Pain Hustlers wrecked me. “Name one thing you ever did for me. One.” “I made you a survivor.” “I survived you, mom. I’m here because of me.” That’s the mother wound in three lines. Here’s the pattern: Some mothers confuse endurance with nurturing. They say, “I made you strong.” But what you learned was hyper-independence. Over-functioning. Emotional self-protection. You didn’t become resilient because you were deeply supported. You became resilient because you had to be. And here’s the complicated truth — both can be true at once. You can acknowledge your strength AND grieve that you had to build it alone. This is the work I see so many high-functioning women doing quietly: Untangling survival from identity. Because when survival becomes your personality, you don’t just “handle everything.” You struggle to receive. You struggle to soften. You struggle to need. Micro-shift: Instead of saying, “I’m just independent,” ask — Where did I learn that needing someone wasn’t safe? That question changes marriages. It changes motherhood. It changes how you mother yourself. You are not broken. You adapted. You can survive your mother… and still grieve what you didn’t get. Share this with a woman who’s breaking cycles 🖤 #motherdaughter #generationalhealing #motherhood #parentification #cyclebreakers

Breaking cycles. It’s different for everyone. It could be choosing laughter over resentment. Connection over distance. Healing over hurt. For me, it’s showing my kids what love can look like—not the kind that just “gets by,” but the kind that thrives. The kind that fills a room with joy. The kind that chooses to laugh together, even when life feels heavy. Times are changing. It’s okay to, and it’s encouraged to, share your affection in front of your children. Maybe you grew up seeing parents who stayed in the same house but lived completely separate lives. Maybe you grew up seeing parents who barely spoke, who passed each other in the kitchen like strangers, or who only stayed together because it was “the right thing to do.” Maybe you watched arguments that never resolved, doors that slammed, or icy silences that lasted for days. Maybe you saw love as something transactional, conditional, or full of tension. Maybe you saw affection used as a reward instead of a constant. Maybe you saw people who never hugged, never laughed, never apologized. Maybe you learned that conflict meant chaos instead of understanding. Maybe you grew up believing that love was something to endure, not something to celebrate. Our kids deserve to see love in action. They deserve to see apologies after mistakes, patience in moments of frustration, and hugs that come with no strings attached. They deserve a home where laughter isn’t rare, where safety isn’t conditional, and where joy isn’t fleeting. This isn’t just about us. It’s about them. It’s about rewriting the story and giving them a foundation of love that shows them what’s possible. Breaking cycles is hard – it takes courage, intention, and forgiveness. But the payoff is everything. Here’s to rewriting narratives and breaking cycles - for us and for them - because they’re watching, and it matters. #parentingtips #motherhoodjourney #motherhoodunplugged #postpartumjourney #toddlermom #toddlerparenting #gentleparenting #crunchymom

So many of you have told me: “I’m a people-pleaser with codependent tendencies. How do I wire my kid a bit differently, to be empathic yet not take responsibility for other people’s feelings?” Well, here’s my honest truth: we cannot help our kids develop patterns that we are not actively working on inside ourselves. We cannot help our kids become confident if we aren’t looking into building our own. We cannot help our kids stand up for themselves and tolerate other people’s discomfort if we’re not working towards that ourselves. We cannot give out (to our kids, or anyone) what we are not giving in (to ourselves) as our internal relationships (how we talk to ourselves and think about things) is the model for our external relationships (with our kids, partner, friends, etc). Where might you start to work on these patterns yourself? I’ve got you covered - Good Inside Members RSVP to my new workshop, Reparenting Ourselves: The Unlock to Breaking Cycles and Doing Things Differently. Coming to you live on Wednesday, April 12 at 12:00pm EDT (recording will also be available for replay). Not a member yet? Visit http://goodinside.com or click the link in my bio to learn more.

@thevanessamcneal I get teary eyed every time I watch this. Watching my son share with me that he’s going to tell his wife about how much I did for him, my beauty, and how much he loves me despite our struggles, filled my heart in ways words can’t describe. This moment is a full-circle reminder that generational trauma doesn’t have to continue. The love, security, and understanding he has in me are a reflection of the healing work we’ve both done — through the conscious parenting I’ve practiced and the personal growth I’ve embraced on my own journey. As a coach, I’ve seen how healing starts within and ripples outward. It’s moments like these that affirm the power of breaking cycles and creating ever living legacies. 💫 #GenerationalHealing #ParentingWithPurpose #BreakingTheCycle #HealingJourney #CoachingFromTheHeart

Not only did I cry three times during this deeply emotional conversation with Dr. Becky Kennedy, but I also learned so much – including: 1. The three things to say to my wife and the kids everyday; 2. How to start looking inside myself for wisdom before I look outside; 3. Diving into the theory of Internal Family Systems in order to break family cycles, and 4. Fail-proof strategies to use when a kid or partner triggers us. Listen to today’s episode of #WCDHT - Breaking Cycles & Reparenting Yourself – with @drbeckyatgoodinside, @glennondoyle, Amanda, and me at the link in bio. It’s not just about parenting our children. It’s about reparenting ourselves, and breaking out of patterns that aren’t working for us.

We’re taught to chase gold stars and polished images—to perform, to please, to be perfect. But what happens when the applause fades and we don’t know who we are without it? In this week’s episode of The Right Room, I sit down with Marci Hopkins to talk about the trap of perfectionism, the addiction to external validation, and what it takes to finally come home to yourself. Marci shares her story of rebuilding from rock bottom, breaking cycles, and choosing authenticity over approval—every single time. This conversation is for the woman who’s tired of trying to earn her worth. You don’t have to be perfect to be loved. You already are. 🎧 Now streaming on Apple, Spotify, and all podcast platforms. — #therightroom #podcast #womeninrecovery #recoveryispossible
