I went to the Grand Opening of ShibuyaLA at the @shopbreamall , and here’s how it went! 🎉 To celebrate, they’re offering 20% off the entire store plus a free lucky box with any purchase over $39. It’s first come, first serve, so I definitely recommend going early! They have all the best viral Asian products, from the Bretman Rock shampoo and Fino hair mask & oil to the Tir Tir cushion. There’s even a whole section just for Gashapon machines! I spotted Hello Kitty, Smiski rings, and Neko Atsume capsules. They carry both Japanese and Korean products, with an entire wall dedicated to face masks and press-on nails. From major improvements around the Brea Mall to continued city investments, this place isn’t slowing down anytime soon. It actually feels like Brea is leaning into growth while still keeping its character. 2️⃣ Downtown Birch Street will ruin your “quiet night in.” Restaurants, dessert spots, shopping, and a new bowling alley opening soon. It’s one of those areas where you go for one thing and end up staying way longer than planned. 3️⃣ You get options when it comes to where (and how) you live. Some neighborhoods are tucked up in the hills, others feel more traditionally suburban, and the topography changes depending on where you are. You’re not locked into just one type of setting. 4️⃣ You can literally get a taste of the mountains here. Between Wildcatters Park and Carbon Canyon Park, there are hiking trails, open space, and even a walk up to the redwood trees. Little did you know you could feel completely outside of Southern California… while still being in Brea. 5️⃣ There’s actual community energy. 🚨 Breaking – Brea Mall Incident 🚨 📍 Brea Mall – Kevin Jewelers 🕛 12:00 PM | 1/13/26 Sent in by an anonymous follower: A robbery occurred today at Kevin Jewelers inside Brea Mall around noon. Shoppers inside nearby stores reported people running and yelling that they heard what sounded like gunshots. A few minutes later, it was confirmed that there were no gunshots — the loud noise came from a smash-and-grab robbery, which caused the confusion and panic. At this time, it’s unclear if the suspects were caught or got away, but detectives are on scene investigating. No official word yet on injuries or suspects. Sharing for awareness — stay alert and stay safe.
