If that moisture can’t evaporate fast enough, the pan temperature drops and browning never starts. Color only forms once the surface dries and stays in contact with heat long enough for browning to happen. Cabbage steak with pecan glaze. I love the taste of long-cooked cabbage in oil. Basically, browning cabbage to get the Maillard reaction-induced caramelization. The sweet umami taste of it just bombs within a first bite. Gochujang and maple syrup add perfect aromas and spiciness. And deglaze pecans with leftover liquid in a pan. All cooked in low heat, and worth spending more than half an hour in front of a stove. All you need is Gochujang 1 tablespoon Soy sauce 1 tablespoon Maple syrup 3 tablespoons Olive oil 1 tablespoon Water 3 tablespoons White Cabbage Pecans Lots of olive oil to fry

Oxtail Ingredients * 1–2 tablespoons complete seasoning * 1–2 tablespoons paprika * 1–2 tablespoons cayenne pepper (adjust to taste) * 1–2 tablespoons garlic powder * 1–2 tablespoons onion powder * 1–2 tablespoons Slap Ya Mama seasoning * 1–2 tablespoons chicken bouillon * ½ tablespoon browning sauce * Juice of 2 fresh limes * 3 green onions, chopped * ½ onion, chopped * 1 green bell pepper, chopped Cleaning the Oxtails 1. Soak oxtails in water with vinegar and salt. 2. Rub thoroughly with lime. 3. Rinse well with warm water and drain completely. Seasoning & Marinating 1. Add freshly squeezed lime juice to the cleaned oxtails. 2. Add all seasonings and browning sauce. 3. Mix in chopped green onions, onion, and bell pepper. 4. Cover and allow to marinate for at least a few hours or overnight for best flavor. Cooking Instructions 1. Heat ½ cup oil in a pot over high heat. 2. Add 2 tablespoons tomato paste and allow it to cook for 2–3 minutes. 3. Add the marinated oxtails to the pot and stir well, ensuring each piece is coated with the tomato paste. 4. Pour in 3 cups of water, reduce heat to medium-low, and let simmer for 30 minutes. 5. Add fresh thyme, parsley, and 1 Scotch bonnet pepper (whole). 6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). 7. After 30 minutes on the stovetop, transfer oxtails to a baking dish, cover tightly with foil, and bake for 3 hours. Final Result Tender, juicy, fall-off-the-bone oxtails packed with rich flavor 🤎
