ALBurnside Farms plant more than 200 varieties of tulips and 30+ varieties of daffodils for one of the longest-running spring festivals in North America!

⚠️Last year Burnside Farms had to stop the festival earlier because a lot of flowers were pulled out and left on the grounds. Please always respect others' hard work and follow the farm’s rules.
🗓Dates: 3 weeks in April (varies from year to year)
🕙Times: 10-6 Mon-Fri; 9-6 Sat-Sun

OUOne of my favorite spring activities is coming back this week! If you’re a flower lover like me, then you must get ready for the Festival of Spring at Burnside Farms. This is a really nice outing for friends, family, a date and the best part is you get to pick your own flowers with each ticket.
🗓️April 4th to 21st (weather permitting)
🎟️Tickets are offered Thursday through Sunday
⏳Open daily (weather permitting) from 8 AM to dusk once the season opens. The last entry is at 7:15 PM. Early-bird (7 -8 AM)
💻Tickets are sold online only
🚫NO tickets are available at the gate.
🎫Tickets are required for children six and older. Children five and under are free and do not need a ticket.
🌷Each ticket includes five flower stems picked by you. They do not sell tulip bulbs in the spring; we sell them in the fall.

The tulips fields at @burnsidefarms are blooming now! About an hour outside of Washington DC, Burnside Farms has over 150 varieties of tulips and 30 varieties of daffodils planted for this beautiful celebration of Spring! Visit them to enjoy the flowers and pick your own to take home! 💐
Their 2025 Spring season ends on April 21, so there are only a few days left to visit! Check out their page @burnsidefarms for more details! 🗓️

Festival of Spring

Burnside Farms tulip festival is open! Their rows and rows of blooming tulips will make you feel like you’re visiting Holland. We went last year and it was absolutely more beautiful than I could have imagined! The 2024 festival began yesterday and lasts for about 3 weeks (weather & flower dependent)
At the farm, you’ll find over 2 million PYO tulips and daffodils - the colors and views are breathtaking…photos don’t do it justice! There is also a playground, two jump pillows, food trucks, a few animals, and several fun photo ops throughout the fields.
💰Admission is charged for ages 6+. $19/person on weekdays, $21 on weekends. 5 flowers included in each paid admission. Sign up for their email to be notified when tickets go on sale each spring season, as it depends on how the tulips are growing!
Tips:
🌷Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty! Field can get muddy, but for us they were dry and dusty - we were covered in dirt when we left!
🌷There is NO shade, so be prepared for that if it is unseasonably warm
🌷Bring an all terrain stroller if you have littles! I didn’t bring mine and 100% regretted it. The farm is HUGE (way bigger than I expected) and it would have been nice to have the stroller to carry our stuff, if nothing else!)
🌷We brought cups of water in the car to get the flowers home, but they do sell vases at the farm!
🌷Baskets are provided for use in the fields, as well as paper and tape to wrap flowers to bring home.

👩👧👦Solo w/ kids?👩👧👦: if you are outnumbered with littles, it would be good to have help here!
🛒 Stroller friendly?🛒: yes, all terrain only

🍽Concessions: Yes, starting around 11:30 am. Outside food is allowed as well.
This farm was about 1.5 hours from us - last year was the first year I felt like my kids could handle the drive. I brought my mom with me and I’m glad I did, as it would have been tough to manage the kids in the fields on my own! I definitely hope to come back again in the future - we all really enjoyed this outing!
