🧠 What I learned from studying for CISSP It’s been 7 weeks since I started studying for the CISSP exam — and here are my 3 biggest lessons: 👔 I never thought like a manager I answered the first practice questions easily and thought, “This is a joke, right?” Turns out — most of my answers were wrong. After 16 years in IT, I always thought like a techie, not a manager. CISSP changed that. I now understand how managers think, and that’s helping me even in my job in tech sales. 🚀 Discipline > Motivation If I waited for motivation, I’d barely study. So I stopped asking myself how I *feel* and just started learning. Once I get into the flow, the motivation comes by itself. Start first — the feeling follows. 🤓 I thought I knew it all I’ve been in cybersecurity for 10 years. But the first topic — CIA Triad — hit me hard. I had never even heard of it properly. CISSP humbled me and showed me: You never stop learning.
