RAAfter ‘war-ing’ all last week (& getting skipped like 5-6 times 😭), we finally tried the donut shop from Bali that everyone’s been talking about.
Here’s what we tried:
⭐️ Mochi Vanilla Donut (25K)
Soft, airy, and not too sweet - simple but really satisfying. Great base flavour. (9/10)
⭐️ Ube Cheese (35K)
Cream cheese balances the ube perfectly. Slight oily aftertaste in the throat, but the flavour is solid. (7/10)
⭐️ Mochi Ferrero Bomb (35K)
Rich chocolate coating with crunchy hazelnut bits. Super sweet, heavy, but enjoyable. (9/10)
⭐️ Pistachio Butter (30K)
No pistachio aroma, more of a buttery profile - still tasty, just not pistachio forward. (7/10)
⭐️ Rose Lychee Bomboloni (30K)
Fragrant af, fresh and the lychee topping really works. Rose flavour shines without being too strong. Loved this too much more than expected (9/10)
⭐️ Mochi Choco Roll (25K)
More like a soft chocolate roll than a mochi donut. Not enough mochi chew, but the filling’s decent. (6.5/10)
⭐️ Mochi Donut Taro (25K)
Airy like the vanilla, with a clear taro flavour. Light, creamy - get the hype for this lol. (9/10)
⭐️ Brûlée Cheesecake (30K)
One of the best - creamy, balanced, not very heavy. Caramelized top adds the perfect touch. (9/10)
⭐️ Mochi Choco Bomb (30K)
The only miss for me - mochi was too tough and hard to tear, filling was avrg. (4/10)
⭐️ Ambience/Vibe: warm, cottage-y, home-y, very small space but cozy. (9/10)
⭐️ Taste: Light flavours, unique textures, and a few standouts (few misses). (8.5/10)
⭐️ Service: more organized after the TikTok videos, waited 30mins even with the slot, quite long(???). (6/10)
⭐️ Cost: Fair if bought directly; jastip makes it overpriced obvi- 50k+/4 pcs (8/10)
Hit or Pass: HIT (8/10) - worth trying, but not worth queueing from morning or paying crazy jastip.
