Is this ALTERNING - Yes or No? In most categories of collecting, altered, trimmed or otherwise restored items tend to have reduced value versus an unrestored item of the same approximate grade. In card collecting this has always been the case; In comic books restoration is scrutinized and noted; Automobile restoration is different and greatly accepted with matching parts / pieces. But, is cleaning, and utilizing the existing card’s fibers and colors (with no enhancement) considered altering? Should it be noted? Would you want to know as the buyer?
