We were delighted to welcome the Deputy Mayor of London, @joannemccartneyam, to Ernest Bevin Academy this week. Welcomed by our Headteacher and brilliantly represented by Year 7 students Freddy and Micaiah, the visit began with real warmth and pride. Our Sixth Form leaders then escorted the Deputy Mayor to Nelson Hall, where she spoke about her journey into politics and her work alongside @sadiq on the Free School Meals programme. Her passion for reducing inequalities and creating better opportunities for young people truly resonated with our students. A thoughtful and lively Q&A followed, with honest advice about leadership and public service. An inspiring visit and a memorable day for our academy community.
