KIGrocery prices are out of control! 🤯 If you want to save money on groceries, try these 5 tips in November:
1) Cut down your trips to the grocery store. Every time you step foot in it, you spend money (duh - ;). Often, it’s spent on things not necessary, more trips = more EXTRA money spent. I teach a system to grocery shop (in-store, pick-up, or delivery) 1x/month for all ingredients + quick weekly trips for fresh. NOV GOAL ~ 4 total trips grocer
2) Look at the highest price items on your list and see if you can find them cheaper elsewhere. Don’t hit up 11 places…but if you’re overspending on things like extra-virgin olive oil, you might save money by ordering just a few from a place like Costco.com. I use Costco for organic flour, EVOO, maple & paper goods. NOV GOAL ~ FIND CHEAPER TOP 5
3) Watch out for extra-pricey “mixes.” That amazing pancake mix can be made with staples in less than 5 minutes - make enough to last! NOV GOAL ~ MAKE 1 MIX
4) Get organized with your dinners. Knowing what’s for dinner ahead of time will save you time & money. For 1, less trips to the store. For 2, by planning ahead, you can use similar ingredients for a variety of meals. NOV GOAL ~ JOIN CLUB BELOW
5) Beware of subscriptions & bulk. I’ve been caught in this trap. Sure, bulk seems like a good deal, but it can balloon monthly grocery bills to out-of-control. Subscriptions are easy to forget about, and you may just get deliveries you didn’t actually need. If you can stay on top and not over-buy, these can be helpful. If not, your grocery bill can skyrocket. NOV GOAL ~DBL CHECK SUBS
