They don’t wait to become their future self. They live like them now. Here’s what’s actually happening in your brain. The Default Mode Network is where your imagination lives. It’s responsible for future vision, creative thinking, and the way you see yourself. The Task Positive Network is all about execution. It handles focus, discipline, and getting things done. In most people, these networks work like a light switch. When one turns on, the other shuts off. But high performers train them to activate together. It’s called ‘functional coupling’ and it’s what makes them unstoppable. If you want to train this? Start your day by visualising your future self for five minutes. Then spend the next hour doing something that moves you toward that vision. That’s how you link imagination with execution. That’s how you rewire your brain to win.
