EAA single beam of white light hits a glass prism and suddenly splits into a perfect rainbow.
This is dispersion – the phenomenon in which different colors of light bend by different amounts as they pass through a transparent material.
Red light slows down the least, while violet slows down the most, causing the colors to spread into a full spectrum that is usually invisible to us.

It’s not just a movie effect — this is real science! When sound waves hit the glass at just the right frequency, called the resonant frequency, they cause the glass to vibrate intensely. If the sound is loud enough, those vibrations can build up until the glass shatters.
