My small proof of concept last year spiralled into building a custom rigging and animation system in Blender. The goal was full control over the puzzle’s functional mechanics, alongside features for expressive character animation. I’m sharing my findings as a free Blender add-on and rig combo for anyone who wants to poke around and experiment with the setup, link in bio.
