❌️ Why we don't stock Ecover 🙅🏽‍♀️🙅🏼 While Ecover may have refill points in the UK, we aren't one of them, and here's why... ❌️ Ecover's parent company SC Johnson actively tests on animals (be aware, Ecover may have the leaping bunny certification, but their parent company are SCJ) One to watch: SCJ are also parent company of Method ❌️ According to @ethical_consumer_magazine Ecover scored the worst rating on their scale for Supply Chain Management. Beyond teaching staff to spot forced/child labour, there was little to no detail otherwise ❌️ The amount of plastic bottles!! Despite having refill points, there is NO way this amount of single-use plastic is going to be refilled And honestly their prices are 👎🏽 SEE OUR PINNED PRICE COMPARISON POST FOR OUR PRICES V ECOVER 🏆 ✅️ In comparison, our suppliers @fill_co and @minimlrefills are on the @ethical_consumer_magazine "best buy" list 💚

Ecover is rated as 4 or 5 on the think dirty scale. Now it still has non-ionic and ionic surfactants which are both emulsifying agents. Generally considered safe, but if you are prone to skin conditions or gut issues, it may have an affect. More so with the anionic surfactant- other names it has are sodium laurel sulfate (SLS) and sodium laureth sulfate. Can be persistent environmental contaminants. These can cause damage to human skin. On a side note- these compounds SLS are commonly found in make up, toothpaste , shampoos, shower gels, facial cleansers. Make informed choices about what you consume that includes all household and body products. It’s definitely a lot better than Ariel and tide. Follow and like for simple steps and simple swaps to improve your health.
