OCPalpebra cadente dopo blefaroplastica: un caso di ricostruzione funzionale ed estetica.
Questa paziente conviveva con un grande disagio: dopo precedenti interventi di blefaroplastica e vari tentativi di cantopessi o cantoplastica, la palpebra si presentava staccata dall’occhio.
La situazione era complessa:
❌ Obbligo di usare un cerotto per limitare i disturbi funzionali.
❌ Alla rimozione del cerotto, la palpebra scendeva e si staccava completamente.
❌ Doppio problema: estetico e funzionale.
Come siamo intervenuti? Per restituire alla paziente la sua normalità, ho eseguito un intervento di cantoplastica endoscopica.
I passaggi tecnici nel dettaglio:
1️⃣ Dissezione temporale, malare e palpebrale (tramite un accesso dietro la linea dei capelli nella tempia).
2️⃣ Cantopessi diretta.
3️⃣ Sospensione dell’orbicolare.
Il Risultato: Oggi le due palpebre sono finalmente nella loro posizione corretta. Vedere questa splendida paziente tornare alla normalità funzionale ed estetica è la soddisfazione più grande del mio lavoro.

DRCan’t believe there are surgeries out there to intentionally bring about eyelid retraction! Would never recommend this to anyone. This is an eye widening or enlargement surgery, more often performed in Asian countries.
Soo many complications associated w this including:
Lid retraction (lid scarred downwards)
Cicatricial #ectropion (eyelids pulled off the eyeball)
Inability to close the eyes (#lagophthalmos)
Severe dry eyes that can lead to permanent cornea scarring and vision loss
This is also not an easy thing to fix once it’s done, and would require (potentially many) complex reconstructions to put the eyelids back into a normal position.
