SHChecked out some delicious Iranian cuisine @eivan.northvan out on Lonsdale. Classy and well-appointed dining space with a great atmosphere. We tried a nice selection of their dishes:
1. Eivan Olives
2. Dolmeh
3. Mirzaghasemi
4. Persian Meatballs
5. Hummus
6. Salt & Pepper Wings
7. Cornish Game Hen
8. Vaziri Platter - Chicken & Loghmeh
9. Saffron Ice Cream
10. Tiramisu
We enjoyed the food here as it was reasonably-priced and well-portioned. Food was delicious too with the Eivan Olives being balanced with sweetness, tanginess and saltiness. The Mirzaghasemi featured smoky and silky eggplant. Impactful. Meatballs were moist and earthy. That Game Hen had moist dark meat while they white meat was drier. That was alleviated by the sweet and savoury sauce similar or the same as the one with the meatballs. Side of rice had a nice crust on top and those barberries combined with saffron was a flavour explosion. Skewers were large and featured tender spiced meat. Loved the Saffron Ice Cream. There was frozen butter to make it more luxurious. Ended off with a light Tiramisu.
